Radwanska had played really well this year until Azareanka beat her 6-2 6-0 that might be something to bear in mind when she faces top seeds. The match will be close no doubt but Maria should come out on top as she has been so close in many final and not getting over the last hurdle.

yes venus just back from 2 years out injured. obviously fully healthy and match fit venus is better than rad.
sharapova is the number 2 player in the world. there is nothing at all that suggests rad has anything over her. |

Simple Sharapova will overpower A Rad like she always has done, if she lands the ball in court she wins if she makes too many unforced errors she loses simples. A Rad has no say in it.....discussion over

I don't really see how Shara can be 1.66 against Rad when she was close to evens against Woz! Rad has been in very good form over the last half-year, is very steady, and has won several tournaments just like this one.
If Shara is playing well throughout, she will of course overpower Rad. However, she's very up and down these days, and as soon as she's having an iffy patch, Rad will be there to take advantage. A repeat of her performance against Woz could make this a very tricky match for Shara. I wasn't going to bet on this one, but 2.5 on Rad is quite tempting. The only thing putting me off is that there might be even better value available after a game or two. |

The talent thing was hilarious. Anyway, Radwanska seriously has nothing on Sharapova. Only 2 plausible ways she can win are: 1. Sharapova gets injured a la Bartoli 2. Sharapova for some inexplicable reason makes a zillion UEs and loses on her own These two together can't even remotely justify 1.66-1.7 on Sharapova. People forget that tennis is all about matchups. |

1.7 looks far too big. Sharas 2nd half of 1st set and 2nd set performance rattling in the back of my mind versus Woz.

Someone mentioned that 1.7 doesn't tempt them as sharapova was about 1.96 against woz. Think it's worth bearing in mind that once that game kicked off the market had to panic into correcting the mistake they had made. God knows how sharapova made that much hard work of it but she was clearly the far better of both of them.
I like radwanska, but she's going to need to play better than she did against bartoli (or rely on sharapova making more mistakes). Add in their h2h record against each other (with plenty of that recent and on hard court) and I'm not sure this will be too close a game. I predict a straight forward first set to sharapova 6-2 or 6-3, followed by a more tediously predictable ways second set, full of breaks from both players but that sharapova takes 7-5. |

Both have lost to Azarenka this year although Sharapova has lost to Kerber too. The last time they played was close at the French open and you can discount all the previous meetings as Radwanska was working her way up the rankings. Has Radwanska improved more than Sharapova in the time since the French Open? I think so. Radwanska in two sets for me.
