dont really see why people are moaning, as i stated earlier i thought wozniacki will win ], serena isnt the force she used to be, wozniacki is underrated. #you cannot always go off the past.. same with venus today, she will also be getting layed. so hope u all back her too :) :)

Surely, the 'younger player' factor applies more to inconsistent newbies like Kerber, barthel etc. who tend to be rather erratic earlier in their careers - capable of playing extremely well, but also quite capable of going out to a nobody.
Woz is still young, but in most respects she's very seasoned, and she's certainly consistent - when she loses, it's generally because she can't handle somebody else's game (which happens frequently when she meets the better players), not because she played well below her usual level. The older opponent vs younger unreliable opponent factor is less relevant in a match-up between Serena and Woz. |
