So many people always say "Oh, who the fuck cares about value? I just pick winners, baby!" without realizing that very simply said not enough of their "winners" will end up...you know...winning to keep them afloat if they constantly take bad value over a long time.

Sorry if I was misunderstood, what I mean is that there is no long term profit if you try to pick winners regardless of their price. A certain edge is the pricing advantage you have towards the market, and lastly value is not only about betting on dogs. Just take yesterday's game between Murray and Djokovic, starting price was around 1.38 which was clearly too low with respect to their head to head, level during the tournament and so on.
