Garcia-Lopez/Beck were 6-3 1-0 up according to the scoreboard, then 6-3 0-1, then 6-3 1-1 and then 6-3 0-3!

Market all over the place!

Yes, exactly DStyle. Market did reflect the (scoreboard) events this time ;)
Report jimmy69 January 31, 2012 11:30 AM GMT
Beck has tweeted  lost the doubles 63 62. They played pretty and we never found a way to came in the match.
Report DStyle January 31, 2012 11:31 AM GMT
i can't help but wonder if any of enetpulse's customers are on the phone to them now
Report Typical. January 31, 2012 11:31 AM GMT
i doubt the market will be voided. Difficult for betfair to void this one as it will be difficult for them to explain to people who bet pre-match for a dodig win that they will receive no payout for getting the correct result. It wouldnt surprise me....but would be unfair.
Report Typical. January 31, 2012 11:32 AM GMT
maybe in an un precedented move cancel all in-play bets?
Report LernhardBanger January 31, 2012 11:32 AM GMT
Nice back @ 1000 on 2-0 jimmy. I see no reason why they shouldn't pay out. But, you never know in this business, do you?
Report jimmy69 January 31, 2012 11:32 AM GMT
Everyone is 18 here...they should be responsible for their actions.
Report Srichaphan or Ancic? January 31, 2012 11:32 AM GMT
If had thrown away money on this, I would not be very pleased, so I would not object to Betfair refunding bets. But I doubt they'll do that too. And yes, either way it is going to annoy one person or another, thats why they pay out.
Report DStyle January 31, 2012 11:33 AM GMT
it's an unmanaged market, so there's not a single reason to void.
Report Srichaphan or Ancic? January 31, 2012 11:33 AM GMT
That and the fact they get money from it Happy
Report Kuis January 31, 2012 11:33 AM GMT
Why would they. Unless for the reasons MoneyBagger and Dstyle mentioned, but the rules say the market is unmanaged etc etc.
Report Typical. January 31, 2012 11:33 AM GMT
Tho as betfair didnt have a scoreboard for this match liability lies elsewhere for the ****-up at the bettors risk....i imagine

Report edy January 31, 2012 11:40 AM GMT
thanks. Unfortunate timing. Betfair just about never offers doubles markets in these kinda events without there being video and the one time they do this kinda stuff happens.

Report sammybizzle January 31, 2012 11:41 AM GMT
Perhaps you are all using betfair but for me and bet365 it was in play with  normality and availabity to bet in the hole of first and most of second set.The only problem is that all the scores for most if not all those games were wrong. It had ggl winning first set etc.So bet365 is looking into this and something should and will be done.Unacceptable in terms of bet365.Duno bout betfair on this
Report jimmy69 January 31, 2012 11:41 AM GMT
This is the peril of betting from a scoreboard.
Report Srichaphan or Ancic? January 31, 2012 11:42 AM GMT
If they refund they could not refund in-play bets and not pre-match bets, because then people would say they put the pre-match bet planning to trade in-play etc.
Report zamorano January 31, 2012 11:42 AM GMT
difference with bet3 65 and the others is that the market is not betfair responsability, no matter if the scores are wrong.. no reason to void but also no reason TO BE ALL THAT TIME WITHOUT BEEN SEETLED OR VOIDED!
Report Kuis January 31, 2012 11:43 AM GMT
Ah I see zamo, didn't notice.
Report Typical. January 31, 2012 11:44 AM GMT
I think bet365 will void. If bettors are going of a scoreboard posted on their website the responsibility mAY rest with them. Read the small print in the help section it may say otherwise tho
Report jimmy69 January 31, 2012 11:45 AM GMT
Bet365 may well void.
Report MoneyBagger January 31, 2012 11:45 AM GMT
I dislike 365.

They made a mistake with their scoreboard in a snooker match recently and this reflected in the wrong odds for the match. Rather than voiding my bet when they spotted the mistake, they changed the odds of my bet from something like 1.7 to 1.05 which was totally incorrect odds for the match and said the bet stands.
Report jimmy69 January 31, 2012 11:46 AM GMT
That's shocking.
Report zamorano January 31, 2012 11:47 AM GMT
i remember a football match in b win long time ago, portugal league.

Home team scored but they put the goal into away side, people was backing the away side to win (the goal was late in the match) and b win never voided that...

funny times!
Report edy January 31, 2012 11:47 AM GMT
that's why the fine print on b365 (and most if not all other bookmakers) says they take no responsibility for their scores
Report jimmy69 January 31, 2012 11:48 AM GMT
... and why should they but to change the odds is disgraceful.
Report coolx January 31, 2012 11:49 AM GMT
Just imagine the joy of the people who were at Zagreb court and betting at same time. They are riiiiiich at this moment. There is no point to betfair return the money
Report V.Hanescu January 31, 2012 11:49 AM GMT
yea zamorano I remember that from BWin also. Happend few times. Ussualy bet365 voids things like that.
Report Typical. January 31, 2012 11:49 AM GMT
they might take some responsibility for the scoreboard if people backed the christ out of dodig at lomg odds tho!
Report edy January 31, 2012 11:49 AM GMT
yeah jimmy. I only just read what MoneyBagger wrote correctly. Sorry
Report Srichaphan or Ancic? January 31, 2012 11:50 AM GMT
I dont think there were any. Because if there were they would have got those 1.79s when the match was won.
Report zamorano January 31, 2012 11:50 AM GMT
looks like nobody was on court for this match... a match with 6-3 6-2 and 1.9 was avaliable on croatia in the second set...
Report MoneyBagger January 31, 2012 11:51 AM GMT
I think some of  365s odds are automatically calculated from the scoreboards now without human intervention. Certain sports do have incorrect odds (not mistakes, but wrong probabilities - ice hockey for one).
Report Kuis January 31, 2012 11:51 AM GMT
If there were people betting courtisde we probably would have known way earlier that something was wrong ;)
Report Typical. January 31, 2012 11:53 AM GMT
if there were people courtside betting that remainding £3 at 1000 would be long gone
Report MoneyBagger January 31, 2012 11:57 AM GMT
I'm pretty sure an similar thing happened in a similar tournament a few years ago. Market was left open and the official website reported the wrong result - winning player was matched at 1000 and losing player at 1.01. I can't remember what Betfair did though.
Report Srichaphan or Ancic? January 31, 2012 12:00 PM GMT
Betfair paid out. They have never not paid out except for the Davydenko match, I think?

Report sammybizzle January 31, 2012 12:29 PM GMT
might be a foolish q..but for sites likes bet365 etc..Who determines the odds at each given moment..Is it just a room of bookmakers who just sit there for each match and put the odds up...I never understood who makes the changes?

@sammybizzle Is traders/automated pricing.
Report jabmast January 31, 2012 12:47 PM GMT
Not involved but think Betfair will settle and Bet365 will void, or at least use palpable error rule to adjust odds, although as pointed out above, much fairer to void.

Would be surprised and a little worried if Betfair decide to void, would open a massive can of worms.
Report diddydave January 31, 2012 1:08 PM GMT
Would like to see it voided but i guess they are trying to find the exact time the match finished and void all bets after this time.
Report Srichaphan or Ancic? January 31, 2012 1:09 PM GMT
Maybe, thats probably correct
Report jimmy69 January 31, 2012 1:11 PM GMT

Report Srichaphan or Ancic? January 31, 2012 1:44 PM GMT
If someone has thousands to risk against two Croatians in a doubles match at just a set and break, they probably have more than enough money not to be too concerned about it.
Report sammybizzle January 31, 2012 1:50 PM GMT
Well I am disputing the bet365. I was making with a customer resporeentative. At the moment they gave back winnings for a pre match bet that technically won. Settled another that they put as a win but then decided to take the money back.I used this money and because of this it was put as - the amount on my account. So the first bet I won had money deducted because they took it back to review again.Wrong..That will be sorted soon.

Then I speak to a representative who at one point says ' ok i can give  your amazing multiple bet back as a bonus for same amount.' I was livid as he was actually trying to be patrionsiing. He said ( so funny)that it was a typing error and he was trying to say another word.Due to the fact that he over stepped the mark of a customer service representative.I got a free 20 due to the rudeness...It continues
Report jabmast January 31, 2012 1:55 PM GMT
So Sammy, did they void the in-running bets completely?

I had no idea the scoreboard was wrong. The result flashed up on my twitter feed saying the Croats had won 2-0...I just went to the set betting on the off chance...the rest is history. I was hoping it was going to come off but I didn't really think it would.
Report jimmy69 January 31, 2012 9:49 PM GMT
