Shouldn't Almagro be put on inactive list (but with protected ranking)? He's been out since RG.
I also think Fabio is due a promotion after his recent muggery (6 losses in a row, including 1 to Chuhan Wang + overall behavior).

We need a new rule for Mugrinka, and maybe others in the future. Winning a slam should not get you scratched from the list forever. For example, too many 1st round exits vs other mugs in one single year, especially at ATP 250 & 500 events, should be rewarded by an immediate return into the list.

Watching the Dimugtrov match made me remember the Old Master list needed some housecleaning after yyyy destroyed it. Also an update to reflect the fact that Benny Muguire is currently a pretty inactive mug - he is ejected with protected ranking.

If he can bring that form in march and make it far in IW or Miami, maybe it will be time to consider if he can take some holidays from the list.

I am proud to announce the introduction of Old Master Ranking Points. The list has been expanded and slightly reorganised to (1) include all players with past Old Master pedigree (2) fit with this more all-encompassing ranking system (3) incorporate recent events. All players not on the list will have a baseline of 1,000 points on account of simply being MugTPers. Any player who rises above 1,000 points will appear on the list, although the initial award of ranking points above 1,000 will need to be fully justified and not based on merely sporadic performances that demonstrate Old Master potential. There will be a point decay of 250 points per month. Reaching 14,900 points confers immunity to point decay, and a player may not exceed 14,900 points. Except, obviously, if they are The King.

All ranking point awards are discretionary.
