By:
"Betfair promised no more voiding after the Davydenko one. "
no they didn't RMB - you have no reason to feel bad, unless it was you who paid Juan and Eduardo off. |
By:
Highly unlikely. There have been strange tennis matches the past three years, and all settled in good time.
By:
Settled.

they're just writing the big winners down on a piece of paper first, so they can give that to the tennis integrity unit

Its bad pr for bf to pay up as they will be partly responsible for facilitating illegal activities.
By:
I spoke to several people at Betfair DStyle, very high up the food chain, and they all regretted the fuss caused and said they wouldn't void another one.
By:
betfair DO NOT GIVE A SHIIIT if it was a bent match. bent match just means more money flowing through their site. and the mafia aint gonna trade out and lower their profits either [
By:
it's far worse pr if the newspapers report on a voided match.
How many news items did you read about the Davydenko match? How many have you read about other suspicious matches in the past? |

and they say cheats never prosper...

By:
what was the total matched please?
and Chela was 1.1 lowest? |
By:
All Betfair can do is pass on their information to the ATP if they ask for it, which they probably won't. In the meantime they have to pay out on the winner or it just creates a fiasco and sets a bad precedent.

polopolo KNEW, why he opened the thread with this title!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By:
£1,081,884 matched. Just over £11,000 on Chela @ 1.1.
By:
chela got to 1.08 i think but a big lump over 11k was on at 1.10
By:
they won't void another one because the ATP didn't want or wasn't able to back them up back in the Davydenko case.
By:
thanks botl
only 1m hmm |
By:
betfair will not void of course:)

By:
apparently Chela had a leg injury...
By:
I layed a five figure sum @ 1.6 about six or seven hours ago before any hint of a market move, I hope the ATP don't come knocking on my door.

By:
well although happy with my win could have done an in running masterpiece on this match what a shame
By:
Dear Betfair, do you think the market reflected the events in this match? Please elaborate using the following words: retirement, fix and mafia.
By:
Actually it was a bad fix, poorly executed
By:
