Kylie Minogue and Amazon Music are launching the festive season with ‘XMAS’, a brand-new pop anthem.
Amazon Music and Kylie Minogue have teamed up to kickstart the festive season with XMAS, a brand-new Amazon Music Original song available to stream now. Recorded exclusively for Amazon Music, XMAS (pronounced X-M-A-S) is a modern pop anthem that captures the magic of the holidays, pairing the pop icon’s signature vocals with irresistible festive energy. The track will be available digitally exclusively from Amazon Music as well as on CD, 7 inch gold vinyl, and 12 inch zoetrope vinyl – available to pre-order at Amazon and via Kylie’s official store. |

Aficionados will be aware, but perhaps worth noting that the race officially starts (and ends) very early indeed this year. To be precise, 12th - 18th Dec.

Not a lot of news to report, so far.
Looks like Mariah and Wham will be breaking t40 this week. Would be very handy if betfair could list Kylie Minogue ! |
|
By:
They have Andrewa Boccelli listed, is that one of Andrea's grand kids?
I dug out some Xmas cds t'other week when I made my Christmas cakes, we could do with some new stuff. I'm still surprised biebers mistletoe doesn't get more airplay, cracking little tune. |

Wham matched at 1.52, seems a bit premature!

Kylie at least doing presales with multiple physicals, released in the correct chart week. Unlike Grennan.
Clearly the 2nd fav right now, and not even listed ![]() |

A Christmas playlist has been re-orderd on Spoty from Friday, M put at the top and W pushed down to 6th. Meaning M is now besting W on Spoty daily again. M went up daily 117,615 and W only up 52,997. On trends I'd still expect w to go back to the top of spoty from the start of next month, but it will dent their numbers a bit (if it's not modified again).

The new single that McFly‘s Tom Fletcher has recorded for the new Paddington Bear musical has entered the race for Christmas Number One.
Titled ‘One Of Us’, the song was written and performed by the McFly frontman for the new production of Paddington The Musical, which is currently previewing at the Savoy Theatre in London. Released today (Friday November 28) via Decca, it arrives with a new music video that sees the singer and Paddington Bear himself at the Paddington Station in London. In the musical, it is sung by the character of Mrs Brown when Paddington goes missing, and has lyrics that centre on community and togetherness. With the single release, the song is now in the running to reach the Christmas Number One spot on the charts, and a spokesperson for William Hill says it has a 6/1 chance of reaching peak position. |

Doesn't look like Wham will get anywhere near 2023 or 2024 their numbers. But still tracking ahead of the traditional spotify Christmas powerhouses.
Nothing is threatening from the regular chart. So we have Wham, Kylie and Palestine so far. This would be around the time that LadBaby teases, by about Monday. |

Kylie's presales are pretty disappointing so far it has to be said. Less than 1K on Amazon.
Amazon are going for a blitz strategy this year, no downloads available yet, she's doing scd next week, Jingle Bell broadcast on ITV Saturday, and a video launch on Friday. With Wham a fair bit softer this year, she could make #1 on first look, though the yt figures likely won't be reported at that point. Who knows then it might get some momentum and mainstream coverage. It's the right strategy in my view, big bang. |

Christmas not happening yet.
Seems strangely quiet up here, lights are on, but everybody at home. Got to pick up soon. |

By:
strange calendar year with Dec 1st being Monday and this race starting the earliest date possible. Wham are obviously a lock for #1 on Friday. They are lucky it's a very unusual chart, lots of stuff on acr and nothing really coming up. Even the highest charting regular track on scr is on the decline.

This is the Monday MW from the same week when Sam was Amazon exc. Which is more analogous to Kylie than Tom's feeble effort ly.
1 Wham 19357 2 M 17500 3 Pog 16505 4 Sam 15077 Not too great for Kylie at this point. Though I believe he had downloads open at that point. Same also released his physical CD in the right week that had a comp running alongside it to meet him. Wham are also nearly 4K behind where they were then. |

Can you flick them a note about Together For Palestine as well?
They could both beat Kylie the way she's going Tho her album is doing rather well this week, possible #1 but could get pipped by streaming. 1 Kylie Minogue - Kylie Christmas 16589 2 Olivia Dean - The Art of Loving 11460 |
