So given George's stitch up with K Pop, Coldplay, and Harry Styles for a jive lol (in successive weeks) what makes you think they go from putting him bottom of the leader board behind the likes of the terrible LaVoix and Elle, to suddenly to giving him the tools to win the show? Genuinely intrigued.

I reckon Jay was so far ahead of Kelly in the voting that he could have stayed at home and won the final. Probably just wanted to create a bit of competition.

Indeed, the producers opted not to reprise the best dance ever seen on scd (at that point, or subsequently), for a bit of competition Grin

lol they were absolutely desperate to get him beat.

I don't see any of them as stitch ups. Coldplay are perfect for the core audience.
The K-Pop nonsense is huge with the kids. Many of whom no doubt watch with their parents on a saturday night. It fits with the prods being desperate to get the views on tiktok.
Harry styles and one direction were the biggest act in the world at one stage. So again hardly a deramp

The comments he's received every week have always been hugely positive. Certainly in comparison to Lewis, who is clearly the best dancer

I imagine they put him bottom last night to create some drama and a shock elim. Which they got

Let's be honest, it has nothing on our odds on favourites jive last night :D

yep and I doubt Jay won easily. The market certainly panicked. He went from 1.25 to I'm not sure what price. But from reading the threads from that time, there was huge concern from his backers. Me being one

It's fascinating how investments make you view things so differently. The beauty is, by 6 weeks time we will get to find out who is right :)

I did lay some off before the final though. When he wasn't doing the Jive. I was hoping they'd push the lovely Georgia Love, but they pushed the awful Kellie instead

My recollection of that series now was that Jay pretty much only had that standout dance, and they were chipping away at him for most weeks after that Jive. I think he went to 8-1 or something extraordinary. But in those days they had a vote cut off, after the cut off, bizarrely the judges stopped attacking him, and he was smashed back in :)

I remember that being a hard watch in the final. But the nerves were eased when a few dances in the judges comments suddenly took a turn accepting Jay as the winner :)

It never really transpired why they went so shady on Jay. Unless it really was down to Len an his betting proclivities.

Yep, dodgy Len I reckon. They all looked sick when they didn't get Kellie over the line. Which suggests it was probably close

Alex dancing to MAggie May next week,
Song rings a bell, no idea who sings it though.

How do you know what she's dancing to next week?

She had it on in the background on an insta story, said she was hoping to get though as she'd be dancing to 1 of her favourite songs next

Can't beat a bit of Rod to play to key demographic. Not really sure about the song choice for this week. But a decent Salsa can win the competition so fingers crossed.

She's the 1 who topped the vote first week, been given unsuitable choices since and now has all the dances she'll be good  at upcoming.

Saved you a google

Thank you very much

And good luck to you with your Alex and Vicky bets

Though after you backed them so early in the show at big prices luck won't be necessary so much for you.

Always nice to see someone pick a big priced runner and do well with it.

Thanks.
Got Alex at the bigger prices. Vicky mainly under 10s for my backs. Got a little bit on her a few weeks ago when she drifted to 11s, so I don't really see her as a decent pick.
Probably why I prefer an Alex win, even though they are both worth a similar amount to me.

Same as George.

Claiming you don't see George as a decent pick is a certain level of denial, to be fair. Since he went odds on in October! But, you're entitled to an opinion of course :)
By:
Bobbasauras
When: 28 Oct 25 21:11
One of the faves from the offset, came into the show with a huge ready made support. The only way it's a decent pick is if you backed him from the start and cashed out when he went evens.
By:
five leaves left
When: 28 Oct 25 23:09
He's still evens Plain

He opened about 7 or 8/1. Was backed a little. Then drifted after Lewis was named as a replacement. The drifted to 20 after the launch show, for some strange reason.

So I think he qualifies as a 'decent' pick
By:
five leaves left
When: 28 Oct 25 23:11
In percentage terms, he's clearly not just a decent pick, but the best pick. As things stand
By:
Bobbasauras
When: 29 Oct 25 06:34
But he remains null and void if he continues to drift out, then gets beat?
By:
five leaves left
When: 29 Oct 25 11:24
Clearly everyone is eventually null and void in the end. Apart from the winner.

George has hardly drifted. Despite 3 poor weeks. So not sure where this drift is, that you are seeing Plain

There's at least one very keen backer. I wouldn't back at these prices and have laid a little after his disappointing Jive, but given he's hardly drifted after 3 poor weeks, if has a good week, he's likely to shorten a fair bit
