what happens to the market if Hannah finishes higher than Chloe at the Ballon ?

That's my prediction, this years is one of the most open ever...more so for the places, as i see Caldentey pipping the big prize.
The comp in behind her is insane though with a host of Barca players in the running, Russo and Bronze also had far bigger seasons than Chloe over a 12 month period.

Earps got 5th her big year and Hannah has achieved far more this year than she did, there will be a ton of split voting going on and it won't take much for the Goalie to leap ahead of a few with a few top points thrown her way if the international journalists can't pick between the outfield players. You'd like to think some have the goalie as a priority position in there thinking.

My prediction is Chloe finishing anywhere between 6-10th, she doesn't deserve it at all but that two weeks in the summer being the super sub will probably push her into the top 10. She really didn't contribute hardly anything to win the champions league and in terms of goals and assists Chloe was a mile behind nearly all the other attacking players. Whilst being the dirtiest of all the nominee's.

My prediction for Hannah is 4-8th and that's if she gets a fair assessment coz shes almost guaranteed to pick up the inaugural ballon goalkeeper award. I really hope this don't distract from her gaining a high position in the main award, it really shouldn't and she should be treated as a complete separate entity but you never know when it comes to womens awards. Just look at the PFA WSL team of the year, where the Man Utd keeper was chosen over triple winning Hannah. Total bullshine that was

Tbh if Chloe finishes higher than Hannah i won't be shocked but it will surely get my goat !

Players who struggle to get in the first team rarely win a Ballon

It would be like Brushy getting FOTY just for copying Figs bets.  Sad

I will be shocked if international journo's reward her for her England exploits tbh, why do they care about our national team. Most will surely be jealous of it.
she really doesn't deserve to make the top 10 at all.

Bronze, Russo and even Hannah finishing higher than Chloe will put added pressure on the SPOTY panel choosing her.

You gotta be a right loser to finish high on this joke of an award.
A Spaniard who lost two finals wins this year and earps who didn't win a thing her year gets 5th, ah well lovely speech from Hannah

At least i called this bang on Cool

Hannah saved two penalty's in the final shootout, one to the left, one to the right but the really important thing is who took those penalty's and why it matters a lot.

Mariona Caldentey took the 2nd pen which Hannah saved, the player who gave Spain the lead in the 25th minute of normal time. Caldentey is an absolute certainty to make the top 5 of this years Ballon D'Or, more like top 3 and has a very good chance of claiming the award.

Aitana Bonmati took the 3rd pen which Hannah saved, this player is the current Ballon D'Or winner and just like her compatriot she too is a total certainty for top 5, top 3 probable and has a strong chance of winning the award for the 3rd straight year.

So not only did Hannah save two pens from 2 of the worlds best players, she also saved 2 of the 1st 3 pens taken..thus putting the fear of god into the 4th pen taker, who just watched two saved from arguably her teams two best players...meaning she struck her's wide of the post.
4 pens taken, one goal scored !!

Come September the 22nd there is a very high probability Hannah would of saved the pen in a final of a major competition from the current Ballon D'Or winner, and the other pen from someone ranked very highly. This to help secure the win for England.

Aitana Bonmati WON
Mariona Caldentey 2nd

rumour has it, her car is a little slower than her team mate. Didn't get to camp on time for the 1st match and missed an appointment with the SJA.
Thats my little guess, feel free to top up. I have, 50's would be better though

I actually think it's a huge positive for her if she manages to get on the list. Earps has come out of this spat really badly and the bbc has posted a few positive Hannah comments.

First time i've thought if both were on the list Hannah would have a chance.

For me, Rory still wins unless there’s a late, organised female-youth mobilisation. If that ignites ( Mead 2022 / Earps 2023), Chloe can make it a coin-flip. Norris only wins if he lands a huge late F1 headline and female mobilisation doesn’t happen.

Rory McIlroy already has broad mainstream support, golf fans, older voters, casual BBC viewers — and his achievement (career Grand Slam) is historic and easy to sell.

Chloe Kelly’s base, younger women and girls, is passionate but narrower and less automatically engaged unless something reignites the “Lioness pride” wave.

In the last two SPOTYs (Beth Mead 2022, Mary Earps 2023) that base was reignited by a massive late-year push: fresh media coverage, documentaries, BBC Sport promos, and a feeling of “we’re making history for women’s football.”

Right now, Chloe isn’t getting that same saturation — meaning Rory sits in front comfortably.

You'd never want to go to war with army by your side :(

So a chance 2 lionesses get a nom?  Increased by the ashes failure. And squinty a proven vote winner now. I had expected biffa would win. Plus all the earps backlash stuff which came afte this vote

Hannah pays a visit to the hospital that treated her eye condition to hand out presents and talk about how hard it was for her growing up with that condition and still is.

BBC Breakfast remains the UK’s most-watched morning television program in 2025. Audience figures can be measured by daily reach (total unique viewers) or average audience (viewers at any given time):
Daily Reach: The program typically reaches approximately 6.5 million to 6.8 million people per day. Shocked
