But you are playing vinyl, we are now in digital. I've said it a lot, but it's not been tested yet.

If the beeb was desperate for a women to win, they'd have made sure to only shortlist one.  Have a loudmouth jock on the panel

They know they'll be 1, 2, so won't be an issue

Forgive my lack of comprehension. What does this mean ?

They'll finish top 2, Ange. Maybe Grin

Possibly. Originally that was my take as well, but then no way are they going to discuss strategy and split vote in those meetings. It shows more how important the female football win was more important to them, making up 1/3 of the shortlist. Of course, the fall out of that is the split vote potential.

They'll know how many votes Mead and Earps received. Maybe they were massive votes compared with other recent votes

Oooh that's a bold shout, I like it. Assume you've taken some 11.0 Hannah top 3 !

If I had been in that meeting, playing with a straight bat (pun intended), I would be arguing that we can't have two people from the same team, when a spot could go to a different sport/nation/para. The fact that there must have been people pushing for it is quite telling. And they ducked picking one over the other.

Would love to run several simulations, mixing up RO, VT, narrative etc and see how it truly effected the vote %s. Be some great data for us all to get a more clinical understanding on it's affect Cool

The RO is huge, based purely on those viewing stats. Assuming the pattern remains similar with overall viewership down, and the weekday broadcast.

99% of voters won't be anywhere near these articles IMHO, and even if they are for many they'll have their favourite sorted already. A Rory fan looking at a Chloe article isn't about to switch, and vica versa. As for Scheffler getting player of the year, of course, he's been on fire.

That's partly true, but only for those who are already a full on fan of a selection/sport - there's a huge amount of voters IMO that are 'floating' voters, and will decide while/after they watch it.

That's suggested by polls like YouGov which should about 50%+ saying 'don't know' rather than picking one of them.

Maybe a joint vt for the footballers? :)

It's not a perfect measure GB, but does show many will bother to vote but be undecided at this point.
By:

Nope, yougov work with a panel that has to response. Don't know are people that won't watch
By:
Cider
When: 16 Dec 25 11:56
Lots of people are ambivalent to spoty. I'm surprised it was that low Grin

Something else I touched on. Internet noise vs reality. Most people won't watch it / won't care.

Maybe there's an insider who knows Rory has golden VT and pimp ? They were bang on the money with their Kelly lays. Would be good for the BBC to have a legend like Rory win, bring back some viewers to the programme.
By:

At most 10% of the population will watch, so most of those giving any answer won't watch, let alone vote
By:
Cider
When: 16 Dec 25 11:58
There's that three way dynamic, watching the show, propensity to vote, and reason to vote.
By:
Cider
When: 16 Dec 25 12:00
It's about 3 or 4% very low. Then maybe 2% of those, actually voting.

Might have been better if yougov had asked, do you plan to watch. That would have left about 600 of their 6000. Their answers would have been more worthwhile

Most viewers are the same year on year, you have to like the BBC to watch
