More 'don't vote for Luke he's already won one' exposure...now it's the grown ups turn.
|
|
By:
Must add a fair bit to the chance he isn't on the shortlist too?
They've played 'fair' in the eyes of the viewers by giving him an award, and he stands there next to Keely on stage at the end, as Hib said. |

Everyone is guessing if he makes short list
Everyone is guessing vote motivation If he collects the award before the VTW starts and comes across really well, which he has in every single interview to date..then it will be a massive plus. Nobody knows f all as it stands, least of all the market !!!!!!!! |

Your first reaction was I think something like 'stitched up with the young persons award' - you gave it away there army

In other news the Yee backing looking like a pro-trader currently

The BBC love Luke and want to see him rewarded but have no idea how he would get on in a public vote, especially in an Olympic year verses a track athlete. Who have the best SPOTY record of all, so this is too ensure he comes away with a top award on the night. It doesn't mean he can't be short listed and the win the main award, it just means the BBC have covered themselves.

Givaway was 'stitched up' army - you know what that means as you said it.

Considering this potential outcome was talked about in detail earlier in the thread, its rather boring to have to explain it all again but im doing in case we have newbies lurking.

Shafted is a bit ruder, but certainly gets the meaning across for how you saw it's effect on his chance.

By:
For someone who allegedly has Luke green stu, you spend a lot of time trying to convince yourself he ain't winning.
|
|
By:
This outcome was 100% guaranteed stu, the only doubt was whether it was announced before or after the main list. Not sure why you don't understand that ?
|
|
By:
I mostly respond to how much army posts about him TBH bear.
He spends a lot of time trying to convince others despite being totally confident, apparently. |

By:
I do what i have done since i started posting here, research the facts and relay them coz most people cant be arsed

The facts are now in black and white. The BBC have made the case for Littler winning Young Spoty and the same description will be used if in main draw. No averages better than Taylor rubbish, no kebab talk and nothing about social media. Facts plain and simple.
Is that really going to sway people to vote for him over “potentially best British female athlete of all time” and Olympic and World Champion Yee ? No, is the answer. Young Spoty winner by landslide internal vote. Job done. Luke Littler Age: 17 Sport: Darts Littler became a household name right at the start of 2024, when his remarkable run at the World Darts Championship led to him becoming the youngest player to reach the tournament's final - at the age of 16 years and 347 days. Though he lost the final to Luke Humphries, he has gone on to win 10 senior PDC titles this year, and is the reigning Premier League Darts, Grand Slam and World Series of Darts Finals champion. Nicknamed 'the Nuke', he is ranked fourth in the world, and earned more than £1m in prize money in 2024. Littler said: "It's been an amazing year and to be in the running for Young Sports Personality of the Year tops it off. If I've brought more fans to darts, then that's all that matters to me." |

I never said that, I was just wondering why you keep dismissing Luke when you allegedly have him green.
Why does anyone post anything on here if they are happy with their greens? ![]() To discuss the market perhaps? |
|
By:
He is a much smaller green for me than Keely by far - so I'm discussing my taking of that view, simple enough.
If army convinces me on here, might change that. |
