Yes, the HFA individuals I know are all very different from how Sam appears. I'd agree, can't see any of the classic ASD signs in Sam.

i have two children with ADHD and they practice control. Accepting someone has ADHD is one thing, allowing them to disrupt every single event and touch, hug, jump on people is not ok. He's just making it harder on others with ADHD who do practice respecting other peoples spaces and practice self control. i also have ADHD.

So how come this ADHD is so selective? Take the first eviction, when Sam was told he wasn't going there wasn't a hint of his jumping up and down and running around looking for someone to hug. Why's that then? Could it possibly be that the producers had words with him because it was "live"? So suddenly he can listen.

He's also a reality veteran and that means turning up on time, taking instruction, and following instruction.

Sam for me is same old same old, plodding along to the line. not a strong fav by any means and is there for the taking, having two come out and say his name is something the market loves.
it does feel like the camp have conceded defeat and think he's gonna hose up and are just saying what they think the public want to hear.
i never expected frankie to say his name, the edits we seen looked like he couldn't stand him.
nella has been really close to both girls and even sharing the camper with dani lately, also she loves tony so sam was a total shock.

so yeah both those saying Sam was didn't sit right with the edits we get shown.

The world doesn't revolve around Sam and I'm writing that as someone with Aspergers. Absolutely the condition makes life difficult, it's not a superpower if you're talking about interacting with society, it can be a difficult. lonely and unfathomable experience at times. I spent the majority of my formative years thinking "what have I said/done NOW that's so wrong??". I could offend people without even trying. There were times when I felt like I was dealing with a different species! They looked human, they walked and talked like a human... but they were nothing like me.

So the damage Sam is doing for neuro-diverse conditions is horrendous. We are not zany, performing monkeys, and children watching Sam may well think that ADHD and the like means you are destined to behave like that. Whereas the reality is that if most people behaved like that in the real world they would find themselves ridiculed and isolated, not to mention being at the hard end of a punch or worse.

I just watched back yesterdays, anyone notice Sam when they starting preparing/cooking the food, how contrived was that whole scene. He threw logs down, the 2nd one was blatantly on purpose, then shouting while cooking. That was 100% an act and nothing to do with his ADHD, not sure if it was for airtime or to try and get a reaction from Fred, probably both.

watch it back, your'll see what i mean. Dunno how much of the public would of cared, probably thought sam was being sam but that was a total act for me..pretty much confirms to me at least, nearly all of the OTT stuff has been one big act from a RTV pro.

ADHD, ME, autism, give a problem a name and it becomes a disease that everybody catches. Point is not how much of Sam's hyperactivity is real (I'd say over half is real with Sam in fairness), it's if it fools GBP? And in Sam's case it has. Lad done well.
