There were bits and pieces available to back Nigel at up to 13, nothing on the RHS until £2 at 17, and £2 more at 18, yet the lumpy backer steams in, wanting to back £300+ at 13.5, Now £67 appears, wanting 150 on the invisible man, Nick; these players may well be long term winners, but I don`t think their strategies are optimal, a bit of patience and subtlety are sometimes required

Nothing wrong with piling in when you think the vakue`s there, but soon to be gone, I do it myself sometimes. In which case, take the 13, 12.5, 12s etc on Josie, don`t come in asking for the adjacent price, leaving a 3.5 gap to a couple of £2 bets. Unless, that is, your finest computerised mathematical algorithms and programs have determined that the `true` price is 13.25, as that`s a mighty fine line on something so indeterminable. All just seems a bit cack-handed
