Is Tony cooked here now - the only one really pushed out in price more recently.
Sadly almost every significant drifter has proven correctly drifted recently on the main market - Josie's backers knew they'd lost, similar with likes of Danielle etc |
By:
Though I suppose will still be some voting to come, as his hope...?
By:
No idea stu. I'm of the opinion that no one knows. If you believe otherwise then it's not worth having a bet
By:
yeh, I know there's still always a question about insider money - but the Josie drift was hideous really to tell everyone she was a mile behind.
I don't think anyone could lay her at 100 without some added info. |
By:
I think I will now almost certainly make about a tenner profit from this series, lol
The biggest moves went against my book each time, apart from the earlier ones. |
By:
The Sun poll had her a distant 4th, as did SM stats. So nothing dodgy imo
By:
Not much better here stu, but any profit is nice after backing Fred

People quoting press polls - do they publish numbers voted? Have you tried multi-voting on them? Also remember which candidate has a publicity machine probably multi-voting on polls, probably pushing his price down in a thin market.
From what I can see on sm it's still 1 sam, 2 tony, 3 nige. |
By:
lol, yeh my earliest bet was Danielle - should have just taken the trading profit and sat back with a decent green on everyone!

Funny that me, Brushy, Kitten all returned here at roughly the same time (so it seems from comments). And I used to tell CLYDE he'd be back when he talked about his approaching "retirement"
![]() George Bailey left before me but I just sent him an email. Anybody know what happened to long term gone TheMadness? He used to make me laugh winding people up on DSBB, being perfectly polite btw, just rational. I wonder if these people are still alive (don't eat foods made with or fried from the seed oils - sunflower etc). |

Not seen TM for a long time must admit - he was a good specials poster yes.

stu ...“Danielle fell ill at the start of the show and developed a really nasty infection which made her very unwell.
“It was all kept off camera and she just kept powering through. Danielle was seen by the camp doctor several times. They were very concerned but rather than throw in the towel she wanted to stay the course. “She was really sick but you’d never have known it. She kept smiling and kept trying her best in camp. She didn’t want to have to leave the show to go to hospital. “There were times in that first week when she really struggled. “She didn’t want to let anyone down in camp or her family and friends. She made sure she tried to eat as much as possible, as she knew that would help her. The weather was also terrible in that first week which didn’t help. But Danielle is such a trouper and she was so brave to stick it out. She just cracked on. “The medics kept her closely monitored and she had to see them several times to make sure the infection was kept under control. “But she was very unwell for a few days and lost nearly a stone.” |
By:
prolly explains why we barely saw her after Episode 1
By:
well yeah the biggest difference is twitter but if you say they're awful, also FB, what stats on FB put Tony "just ahead"?
"Aren't holidays brilliant?" made me laugh. TM and GB2 were mad but regardless I'm somebody different. |
By:
Farage always starts these polls behind and moves in front. Make of that what you will
By:
Only 18% on the 4 way Sun poll the other day when they reported on it. Then it doubled

Reminds me of bear on tibb :)

Twitter certainly useful. I like it for Strictly. I've never known it be wrong. However looking at the historical to win stats for IAC, they've only been right twice in the last 5 years.
FB and instagram I did a manual count after the Dani elim and they both had Tony just ahead of Sam. Nigel 3rd, Josie and Martin way behind. Numbers upthread or maybe in the Tony one. I looked again last night when I got bored I had 38, 37, 35, Tony, Nigel and Sam, to win posts. So nowt in it |

That was to H

Twitter goes up to 110
By:
lol that was fb and to win posts I counted before I got bored, not percentages
By:
Tellystats does twitter so we don't have to
By:
Your boredom threshold only goes up to 110
Twitter full of extremists. Again liable to overestimate nige |
By:
Over 500 comments. 110 showed a preference. The other 390 mostly hating on Josie. FB is weird

Small c conservative support is nearly always underestimated. If social media and other online measures are really close, that would put Farage right in the mix. I'm genuinely torn on this, logic would say Farage has no chance, but my nagging instinct says he has. None of the possible outcomes would surprise me especially, very unusual to be able make an argument for the last three runners.

By:
A sample of about 100 is not any form of "true representation".
By:
Think the standard deviation and confidence levels picking 110 random IAC fans would be pretty useful. You'd assume on Instagram that such feedback would have Sam easily in the majority, especially as IG favours him and he's the big favourite. Something amiss or Sam is brutally short.

Zeitgeist (imo)... Sam
Deserve to win (imo)... Sam Twatter ... Sam clearly Sun Polls ... (imo) Sam Facebook and Mumsnet ... Tony clearly Most motivated voters ... (imo) Sam Not been ICBY ... Sam and Nigel Camp Leader .... Sam I did a FB to win analysis this afternoon and the scores were Tony 70 Sam 40 Nigel 14 Sam or Tony 10 Sam or Nigel 0 Tony or Nigel 0. I'm prolly being played by FB but took Tony green on the back of that this afternoon considering his price. Nige of course has some sort of outside campaign, but the final vote is generally massive. |
