He had that on year 1 bardo, but would have been beaten without appearing on bbc breakfast tv with his family. Those appearances have little effect these days, and downloads are pitiful. He can win, is the correct fav, but there's a case against him too. Mariah is way to big imo.

And last year he still had loads of media support, as the sole charity challenge, carrying his name from year 1. Is the support going to be there with a plethora of charity efforts, and a pretty tedious sausage roll theme when there's 'better' entries to support?

How big media works, Bieber and NHS is a bigger story than LadBaby 3. Would they want to promote him over two NHS runners? He was the story last year.

Definitely, there isn't anything like it for incorrect prices or dramatic changes usually. ICU massive gamble from 8-1 to odds on, now back out to 20/1. With XF no longer a factor, the event could have gone dead.

December 18th: And They're Off James Masterton XmasNo1 18 December 2020 Let the games begin. As of now, we are officially inside the Christmas chart survey period. All sales and streams of singles in the UK from now until midnight on December 24th will count towards the Christmas chart. And on this blog I'll try to give as many updates as I can as to how the race is going. One small procedural issue should be noted. Readers of this in previous years will know I've been able to post detailed updates on some of the numbers involved as the week unfolds, this thanks to contacts in the industry leaking them to me ahead of time. This time around thanks to my Music Week role I do myself have privileged access to that data, but this actually means I'm bound by confidentiality not to abuse that or break the strict embargos that exist around midweek information. So regrettably the only information I can recount is that which the Official Charts Company themselves have chosen to put in the public domain, although I will do my best to colour in any detail, expand on matters they are vague about and at the very least try to give any sensible analysis that is required. Here's hoping for something resembling an actual race. The worst of all worlds is one single soaring into an unassailable lead and rendering all subsequent debate irrelevant. |

First Look is on Sunday. Two days downloads and mostly one day's streams. Though we had that aberration where one day of Amazon downloads were missing from the mids two years ago. Atm it's usually spotify and yt missing for the previous day.
