Listening back to Sam last night, she was in fairness far better than the initial reactions on here IMO.I think it was her best performance so far.

My thoughts before catching up with what everyone else had to say.
I thought this was a decent show after SCD which was terrible last night. For me pretty good standard throughout and almost everyone seemed better. Gifty - I liked this from her, but not particularly memorable so could well be in trouble because of unknown song and singing during SCD. Matt - thought this was really good and he didn't go OTT with the falsetto this time. 5am - main guy is good, ropey vocals from the other too but nowhere near as bad as when Fleur East murdered it. I thought it was a decent effort of a hard song to sing with all the dancing and production. Honey G - I only remember the backing track. Gone from the Jimmy Savile look to Fred Scuttle/Benny Hill. Ryan - I thought this was decent and his best. Sam - I'm not a fan of Sam's voice but thought this was a good effort and her best, less shouting. Saara - I can't stand the song Bad Romance and Saara's voice is like nails on a blackboard for me. FFd through most of it so can't really comment other than not for me. 4OD - really rough start but pulled it back towards the end, so better from them. Emily - good performance, but I think the staging distracted from the song as I can't remember the singing and it didn't seem to have the highs and lows that the song usually has. Much preferred TFF singing it at HQ in the Summer! |

All in all, one of the better XF shows of late and pretty good efforts all round.
Gifty and Saara in trouble for me. Possibly Honey G this time. |

out all day today so can't catch up with the repeat which I like to do - was struggling to stay awake for last 2 or 3 acts so full impact of Emily probably lost a tad on me.

I think Honey G will go far.If you play this comp. on who you think is the best singer you will go skint very quick.
Cannot see why the 1D lookalike is short odds on.I mean what has he to offer but more mediocre. And how is having a good voice the same as current and contemporary. Must admit very bored of the comp. now but what I can say is where I live everyone is talking about Honey G. Very good and very bad comments.Whatever that means .Can see her selling out a theatre very quick. People love entertainment and looks like she is no one trick pony or novelty. She is something else we do not yet know.Maybe it is David Cameron after all!!!!!! |
