For an oik like me, the Charleston and the jive are the two dances that offer most hope of a `memorable moment`. Unfortunately for Danny, this really comes down to choreo; he`s good enough to have done anything thrown at him by Oti, but her routines just haven`t delivered anything like, eg, Mincey`s `swimming` Charleston moment.

Only one dance this week jolly ....they have the CCC challenge as well when they're all on the dance floor together

Biggest moment of the series so far is Eds Gangam Style salsa IMO.

Still reliving the joyful alignment of @bbcstrictly a Salsa @edballs and Gangnam style. It's bizarrely just what the world needed. 0 replies 190 retweets 1,642 likes Reply Retweet 190 Like 1.6K |

Danny technically as good as anyone we have seen but a lot less voteable than other male winners....much more marmite (no journey/a pro already/up himself etc)... Jay was p1ssing all the reliable sm indicators...Danny doing ok but by no means an oompa loompa at odds on...that said only has to get past Louise and he should be able to do that unless of course TPTB want her to win which is quite possible.

|
By:
...and no wow moment yet
|
|
By:
Danny very good but no better than two or three every series. The best every series are all good so could hardly split them.
|
|
By:
Technique alone ain't a huge motivation to vote

Biggest moment of the series so far is Eds Gangam Style salsa IMO. Agreed. Did you see the Gogglebox reaction? For me, Ed`s had the top three moments of this series; As The Mask`; just the whole thing! That dance where he jumped out, over and on to Katya, as she bent backwards crablike, with him landing somewhere near her neck, and her doing some flicky leg stuff. Ed out-singing Dave Arch as he joined in with `Huh! Huh! Huh!` for whatever song that was. |
|
By:
tim
He's a joke act, everyone's laughing at him. He's a 25/1 shot and Danny's Evens! hth |
|
By:
Yep....terrific Gogglebox reaction tim.
|
|
By:
Just a bit concerned that he won't be able to have any similar reactions owing to the dances he has left.
|
|
By:
You`ll be happy to lay my £200 at 25/1, then, if he can`t win? It`s there now.
|
|
By:
Why should I when I'm already about £1800 Red on him?
I'll win enough when he goes out without chancing another £5000 worth! |
|
By:
^^^ Not to you, obviously, hemsby. I`m trusting Katya to squeeze `moments` out of his remaining dances. She`s done it nearly every time so far, so why not?
|
|
By:
tim
You go on about Ed doing this, Ed doing that. Does it not concern you at all that all the other dancers (specially Danny, Louise and Claudia) are a million miles better than him. Do they HONESTLY not bother you at all that they just might beat him? |
|
By:
`Value`.
Look it up. |
|
By:
Ok but you didn't answer my question so I'll ask it again (perhaps he won't avoid it this time forum)
DOES IT BOTHER YOU AT ALL THAT ALL THE OTHERS ARE FAR, FAR BETTER DANCERS THAN HIM ............... HONESTLY? Remember Tim we're trusting you to be HONEST, if you can't be then what's the point of discussion? |
|
By:
It's an Entertainment show. It's not a Dancing competition
But I doubt you can grasp basic facts |
|
By:
All of a sudden Tim goes quiet pmsl!!
Thought he wouldn't be man enough to simply tell the truth. Tell you what Tim I can't abide ****z like you who make themselves look so silly on forums such as this so I'll add you to my 'blocked' list so I don't have to read any more of your nonsense again. |
|
By:
there are some absolutely awful rtv programmes, scd on the other hand is the greatest light entertainment show out there at the moment.
ed is entertaining the nation. from gogglebox 'ed balls go to the top of the class', 'wasnt that good?', 'i phucking love that, every single second of it, it was absolutely strictly gold'. |
|
By:
jolly
Yes entertaining the nation in a DANCING competition. They don't sing, tell a joke, quote Shakespeare, bake a cake or ice skate ...... they DANCE! Big clue in the programme name! hth |
|
By:
if it was a dancing competition ed would have been first out, but he survives week after week because he is entertaining the nation and people vote for him to stay.

Here's what you posted on the USA election
LOU MACARIS TARTAN B • October 27, 2016 7:17 PM BST tim If by some weird chance Trump doesn't win won't you feel silly spouting all the stuff you do? Yes he MIGHT win but surely he MAY WELL not? You seem to talk as if it's a done deal so you must feel really silly surely reading everything you've said along the way if he doesn't win? Don't remember you posting 'Well done Tim' like any respectable person would do Strange that. |

But doesn't that show how ridiculous it is. Ed's about as good as anyone on this forum would be after a couple of days training. Be honest he's useless! Do you agree it's right then if he goes ahead and actually wins it? Don't forget I've asked you a question so expect a reply. I will take your word for it that you're being totally HONEST that's all I can do. Thanks |
|
By:
Off to watch the footie now jolly.
What's up can't bare to simply tell the TRUTH? |
|
By:
lou i put my book up, you said you would but didnt. i wont call you a liar yet you call everyone else liars.
if it was a dance comp then it would be marked just by the pro judges who would see technical stuff that the public cant. instead they let the public have a say so it becomes an entertainment programme. ed has got better as a dancer, i'm not sure i would be able to keep time the way he does. people have different opinions, having a different opinion to you doesnt make me a liar. come on feyenoord ![]() |

By:
jolly
Put your book up where's that? I just stated earlier that I lose about £1800 if Ed wins so I'll ask you again ............ WHAT'S YOUR WORST 'RED'? (I'll await your HONEST reply to that question) Are you telling me then that whilst none of us viewers are 'pro judges' we can't see that the other dancers are miles better than Ed? Yes Ed perhaps has got slightly better but all that means is he started at about 2/10 and he's now 4/10. Would you think it right then that he actually goes ahead and wins it? NOTE TO JOLLY: I can see three questions there so answers please? |
|
By:
how quickly we forget, we discussed books on one of your threads a couple of weeks ago.
i havent played the outrights so am level, surely that makes me less biased than those with skin in the game? if i was forced to vote i would vote ed as he is more entertaining than all the others, he is making the nation smile. i would love it if he won. |
|

Fair enough thanks for replying. I asked Henry V111 what his book was and of course like 99.999999999% of people on here he wouldn't say. (Between you and me Jolly it's because then afterwards when the winner's announced everyone claims they've won!) but then we all know that everyone wins on Betfair, nobody actually lays the winner oh no way!! It's of course up to you who you would vote but how someone can watch him sort of dance then see an excellent Danny, Claudia ............ and vote for Ed in a DANCING COMPETITION is beyond me. I've said right from the start I have all 'The Big Four' onside and have layed Will, Greg, Ed and Rinder heavily. Of course no one else will make a statement like that but like I said they're all 'winners' so I suppose they can't or they could end up looking very silly. Come on Ed ........... home you go. wink |
|
By:
Lou,
could you not indulge in this pathetic nonsense you come out with every year on your own threads rather than cluttering up a general chat and info thread with it. I've come home, want to have a catch up on any news from ITT and have to scroll through hours of your self-indulgent bullshine. It's not as if we haven't seen it all before year in year out. FFS, get over yourself. |

Lou it's very ignorant to write my name "Henry V111" as kings and queens use the Latin numerical nomenclature - my name has the letter "I" and never "1"
Interestingly the first mention of the"positional" numeric system ie 0,1,2,3 (which is derived from the Arabs) in the West are found in the Codex Vigilanus of 976 and weren't in widespread use in Europe until 500 years after that. |
