A few random thoughts.
Overall standard better than I expected. That said both Kirkwood and O'Donnell are going to struggle. Nether are going to be popular with younger voters so just a question as to whether they will be popular enough with older voters to stay beyond better dancers. The worst dancers in previous series had some sort of perceived comedic value but these two don't. Think the market has probably overreacted to Rani. Personally, I thought Bright was better, although possibly a little more annoying. |

Totally agree on the last point, Kellie with the pimp and the market would probably be the other way around. We've had enough of KFG already.

I wasn't that impressed with Anita at all. She nearly toppled over a couple of times. The power of the pimp and judges comments

Agree re Anita....the first 30 seconds were spent faffing around on the stairs.She clearly has some ability,but it was a major market over-reaction.I made her 3rd best on the night behind Kellie & Helen,about on a par with Anthony who was under marked.
Helen was good without being spellbinding....I find her a little annoying with that prissy/porcelain doll type appearance/personality.No doubt she can dance though.Kellie was Helen's equal on the night for me,but worryingly KFG choreographed yet another 50's/60's type theme (even though it was supposed to be a Tango).KFG is verging on becoming a liability rather than a positive. Will be interesting to see if there are any market moves today,after Anita's backing then pimp slot yesterday. |

Helen is one of my runners, but there was a mismatch between reality and judges' comments. The live audience (and the voters) are always going to fall for that romantic guff tho.
I don't feel yesterday's show told us much that wasn't already priced into the market. One could argue Kellie should have come in a touch, but she looks like an unlikely winner. |
