Mel and Kendra getting the BTT is an absolute disaster for me as someone whose big greens are on Tinchy and Edwina. Could lose both of em tonight Cry
Report Ozymandius December 5, 2014 3:20 PM GMT
What exactly is likeable about Tynchy?  he is as bland as lettuce.  Inoffensive, perhaps, but likeable????
Report cnman December 5, 2014 3:23 PM GMT
He's far more respectful to the women than Jake the lech. Gets on well with the older people. Also personally think he's far more interesting than everyone else in there. Feels like there are more layers to his personality than likes of Mel, Jake and Kendra
Report cnman December 5, 2014 3:24 PM GMT
Not to mention he's very talented as a recording artist. Probably more intelligent than everyone in there apart from Edwina as well
Report cnman December 5, 2014 3:24 PM GMT
He's coming across too subtle for the british public though, think he's in big trouble tonight with Mel/Kendra having the BTT

Report cnman December 5, 2014 3:31 PM GMT
Don't be ridiculous Ozy, how can he barely string a sentence together? Just because he speaks differently to you, doesn't mean he's not intelligent. You have to be to write two number 1 singles and plenty of others in the top 10
Report Ozymandius December 5, 2014 3:33 PM GMT
No you don't, you have to be musically talented.

I suspet he has learning difficulties which is why he is s withdrawn from the group.

The final of The X Factor this weekend saw UK telephone voting records smashed.
• The total of number of phone votes was the largest ever recorded for a final
with over 10 million votes cast
• During Sunday’s show, over 219,000 votes were taken in a single minute, up
11% on the previous best
• The busiest second saw an incredible 3,801 votes cast, a 13% increase on
the old record.

main arguments that she coasts through to the final is:

1) 3 way northern vote split

2) im pretty certain the south is more heavily populated, and were not overly keen on our northern monkey friends anyway and there silly accents, so posh eddie will rule down south.

3) she has the oldie vote, which as proved on the over 50 thread is a very powerful vote in this program.
due to this show being far more 'testing' than any other RTV show.
she will get lots of respect.
also its the oldie's that mainly vote in general elections, they will be very motivated to pick up the phone for the tory.

4) todays trial will almost certainly focus mainly on eddie as the others are younger, fitter and the best trialists in the show...wont be much fun watching people do well.
eddie will provide all the entertainment imo

5) she has two ongoing story lines:
a) one with mel, her supporters will want her to win and get further than moany mel in the process, as this often happens in big brother.
bit of a good v evil battle for me...and as eddie comes out on top online she is the good.
b) one with jake, they have become great friends now with jake leading much of the sexual comments so all this 'cringe' talk is b0llocks, as was said on loose women with the audience agreeing that jake is playing upto it.
anyway they have formed a great relationship of young/old which in these programs really goes down well with the viewer.
also as often seen in big brother, the best friends of the house are very often the last two standing.

6) mel is totally mirroring the path of gogglebox george in the respect of her 'teflon' price and the FACT she is universally dis-liked online as was george, who left the house in 4th by the way.

is that good enough mach Wink

the mails comments had to be hacked

mels fans were too scared too speak out, especially on face book, DS etc
they would of got attacked big time.

Report Cider December 7, 2014 9:36 AM GMT
Mel will have hemorrhaged lots of fans across the course of the series. If she was a positive personality, she'd be in for winning. Rather like a football team losing 0-4, some fans stay till the bitter end.
Report LendUsAFiver December 7, 2014 9:37 AM GMT
Personally I haven't paid much attention to the mail comments. I've had quick look but haven't made any positions on them. Most polls and online articles are juiced up but you can't fake the relentless hate for Mel.
Report hemsby December 7, 2014 9:39 AM GMT
It's exactly the same scenario as last year with Lucy.Strong feisty northern woman, well known from TV previously, constantly shown in a negative way on the edit, and constantly persecuted in the spin off show. The bit on Friday when Kendra and Tinchy came out,and both said they wanted Mel to win would have surprised quite a few viewers I reckon.

The parts this year about Mel dominating the cooking around camp, and being sensitive to criticism I think perhaps may have resonated with quite a few housewives/mums watching.......perhaps some see a similarity to their work around the home not being appreciated?

Lastly of course it's a vote to save, not vote to evict.Far better to provoke a strong 20/80 negative opinion, than a lukewarm 65/35 positive opinion.
