Guys, a bit of advice needed. I have a 5 fold accum which has had 4 legs come in. The last is Jay to get eliminated tonight.

I stand to win 994.00 if Jay gets eliminated. Do you think I should stick with it or try to hedge by backing Stevi to be eliminated too?

Cheers

lay Jay surely, you'd be gutted if someone else was eliminated if you only covered Stevi

How do we see the vote going if Jay and Stevi are the B2?

Simon will refuse to vote.

How do you see the other 3 voting? My worry here is deadlock wont be enforced and then Stevi may be in danger because I am confident on him getting more votes than Jay.

i don't think Simon would refuse to vote

Mel would go against Stevi

Cheryl highly likely

Louis "chose" him as SCowell's WC iirc? altho did have a moan about good singers going out last night

He'd be favourite in any sing-off regardless of whether he goes

Simon - Abstain
Cheryl - Stevi (WC pick)
Mel - Jay
Louis - Casting vote...."I can't decide,so I'll abstain and let the public decide"

If you want a guaranteed win of something like £400 at current prices, it`s very much the only `sensible` answer. I think most of us feel his price is somewhere about right, so you wouldn`t be giving up a whole lot of value. Let us know what you do.

oc, it was Cheryl who chose so slightly more chance of deadlock

still can't see SCowell refusing tho unless they came to him last and he said he's let the public decide, but then Louis would have had to choose Stevi

or do they automatically go to deadlock if someone abstains (or is that just when it suits)?

Getting very confusing all this surmising

I know the best option is to probably lay Jay on here and then see what happens. That guarantees around £400 as stated above I think.

My issue is that I dont have the money in betfair to lay him, hence my idea of backing Stevi.

Do you guys genuinely think anyone else apart from these 2 can go tonight?

laying j and backing stevi not vastly dissimilar cost

Yep, with Stevie`s price being relatively low, your stake will have to be in the hundreds of pounds to have the two of them more or less level. Big problem with that, though, is you`re dealing with the whims of Cowell. It`s The X Factor, ffs, ANYONE could go. And frequently have! Laying Jay to lock in profit is one thing. Backing only one other, another thing altogether. Beg, borrow or steal, and deposit funds sharpish, or find a friend with a Betfair account.

Also, while I don`t know your betting account history, you may well have problems putting on £400-odd with the bookies in this market.
