Can anyone explain why my back of Paul Akister to come in the bottom three has been settled as a loser? TIA

He was the last act to be told they were safe before the sing-off..does that not make him bottom three?

I clearly haven't read the rules properly and yes am clearly a towelhead. Would have thought bottom 3 would mean last act saved before sing-off, otherwise how would the 3rd bottom result be known?
One of the runners was settled already. Not the clearest if you don't follow it closely tbf
