Think none should miss it,that's why mate. Having said that, nothing is ever a guarantee. But I can say I am extremely optimistic. Let's find out tonight!

Eurovision is a strange creature beware saslokk, "everything points towards a victory"?...what you can't equate is the millions at home who may find the netherlands song a trifle boring, which is highly likely, even folks on here dissmissed it on first listen, hence the 400/1+ price early...good luck with it saslokk and all the other backers.

http://www.entertainmentodds.com/eurovision-song-contest/linnets-win/ another person's view. FYI.
As I said, let's see tonight what happens. It's just money at the end of the day ![]() |

This is basically a song v the freak show. Both are unique. We haven't had anything resembling a polished country style song before and we haven't had a bloke with a beard dressed as a woman before. I just think one is slightly more worthy than the other. Strip away the ultimate gimmick and Austria would just be one of the rags.

Agree Austria is a shocking song, and hopefully this bearded nonsense is put into touch come votes
|
|
By:
or they could be voting for Spain with all those countries at the end..

After hearing the Netherlands song for one minute I found myself constantly looking at my watch.
The song is so dull, boring and plods on in the same plodding tune which seems like an eternity. Its a BIG LAY. |
|
By:
It's catchy and has nicked one of the best intros in every breath you take...can't be bad.
|
|
By:
actually, it's every breath you take all the way through...still, if they can get away with it...good job...catchy.

The Netherlands is a big lay now, when they start the song and when everyone falls asleep back it back at higher odds to ensure a profit regardless.

Before we know the fate of my bet on The Netherlands, can I be a bit smug and declare a 4 pounds 39 pence bet, matched at 840. Laid some off (but not all), hoping for my biggest price winner ever.

Well done Tim

Although I won a few quid backing it top 4 and top 10 still see it as a real shame.
Just the kind of voter the competition attracts and the divide will probably increase again after last night's ultimate gimmick. There are just not enough people voting on the basis of a proper song. We know the make-up of the audience so Austria was always going to prosper from a huge reaction. Plus if commentators around Europe were pushing it in the same as Norton it was clear that the Netherlands were always going to find it difficult. |
|
By:
what the lowest odds Netherlands traded during the voting?
and how high did Austria go? |
|
By:
Don`t know about The Netherlands, was it something like 5 or 5.5? I had some pennies matched at 200 on Austria and I vaguely recall looking at the graph, and seeing that Austria hit 700+. Not altogether sure, though.
