Sanna worthy fav imo, but I think Ace would do better in ESC if it won tomorrow - modern, catchy, upbeat and well performed, in the mould of Lena's Satellite. Maybe the MF organisers thought the same in putting it in pimp.

Link for live feed will be something like :

http://www.svtplay.se/video/1759147/melodifestivalen-2014-deltavling-1
http://www.svt.se/melodifestivalen/

I'm not sure I'll be able to watch it so I don't know the time or if it competes with The Voice - if so, and people are watching both simultaneously, it may be best to have in-play MF discussion on The Voice thread.

Charts FWIW

iTunes Charts current

1    Ace Wilder     "Busy Doin' Nothin"
2    Ace Wilder     "Busy Doin' Nothin" EP
5    Helena Paparizou     "Survivor"
6    Sanna Nielsen     "Undo"
8    Alcazar         "Blame It on the Disco"
9    Linus Svenning     "Bröder" (Brothers)
13    Panetoz         "Efter solsken" (After sunshine)
16    Oscar Zia     "Yes We Can"
24    Ellen Benediktson     "Songbird"
26    Yohio         "To the End"
29    Anton Ewald     "Natural"

The fact that the Swedish charts are stuffed with Melodifestivalen songs shows that they take it seriously and make an effort for quality. There are other MF songs in the charts that didn't even make the final.

Crazy day in the market! I`ve had some mad prices matched, my favourites being laying Alcazar at 9.8, and Ace as low as 1.82. The way things are going, Ace could be even shorter by tomorrow, but happy enough with today`s moves. Turned in to a pleasingly lively market.

Kicking myself for not backing Ace Wilder. I agree with Henry's assessment of it. A very catchy little pop song.
It's the only one I like apart from the wonderful Songbird.
Not being a filthy trader like tim Silly I'm only on Songbird at prices between 8 and 50 since qualifying
Stupidly I didn't back Ace Wilder that was 25 to win after it qualifiedSad

I had my best ever tourney win on the poker overnight. So I can't complain Cool
Poker may well be the future for me. Unlike betting on specials you are always going to be welcomed as a winner.
Not that I'm winning that often on specials of late Grin

I won a $50 tourney on stars. We dealt when down to the final 4, so I got less than the guy who came 2nd, but we were really only messing about after we dealt. So happy with my return

How much you win then? What does "dealt" mean? I play live twice a week now and enjoy the craic both tournaments...cash too scary.

Cheers HemsGrin

Dealing happens in most tournies when you are down to the last 3 or 4, GB2. On stars anyway.
It means you call a moderator and they divide the prize money based on the number of chips each player has.
It was $8K for 4th up to $21K for the winner.
I was 2nd biggest stack so settled for $15K. The guy in 4th got 12K and the chip leader just over 16K

So big, but not huge.
The 8th anniversary stars million had 46,000 in it last week.
I finished 850th for just under a grand. Some lucky German won $1.1M

wow I struggle to make the final table out of 60. Is it all "skill" or is there some fancy software that does the maths? I need to improve my staking ie maxing the nuts/getting value.

It's a game of skill where you need an awful lot of luck to win a tournament with 2700 players
2+2 forum is worth a look

As for software there is either pokertraker or hold'em manager. You can download both on a trial basis. Then you have to pay.

Gl all watching.  Despite saying I was gonna avoid the danish final, I have gone for Bryan Rice and Anna David against the field.  Both MOR and decent songs, much as I like the trashy throwaway Bruno Mars type fave.

Evening pk. I've given up on my Ellen bets. I will just be interested to see if the market is informative ir as it's been in previous weeks

Well I made her a far bigger green than planned as her price got so silly.  She's not a likely winner (she never has been to me) but she still can win, unlike 4 of the songs.

Good to hear you keeping the faith. Here is one that can't win

It is my 4th favourite song of the 10 too (Ellen) after Alcazar, Yohio and Paparizou.

It is largely coincidental they are my 4 greens lol.

Well as a back to lay yes if I had realised how low it will go, but I still stand by my stance that it is only the 6th most likely winner.  If it gets more than 50pts from Juries, I may have to have a hasty rethink.

Now that Scooch song really was terrible.

I'd be interested to know at some point what you think of "Crying At The Discotheque" which was one of Alcazar's biggest global hits.

Ellen getting to a very backable price for top 3 maybe.  Could hit double figures.
