It matters because the talk of inside money potentially drives away punters.
There have been 2 or 3 instances of what looked like inside money to me in 7 or 8 years of playing these markets.
No sign of it tonight or throughout the series.

It's like the poker players who claim it's all bent. They remember the times they get dumped out of a tourney by some donk hitting a 1 outer, bt forget about the times that the luck goes their way and they river gets them out of trouble

Anyone completely do their nuts tonight? Always a bit worrying when so many regulars don't post.

Relative to Specials betting, done my nuts` signing in

That`s two max red losses for me on the trot, both of which I could have walked away from with small all-greens. So long as I trade it such that I`m able to green up if so desired, then I don`t feel I`ve played it too badly. If I then choose to instead go for the jackpot, I have to accept there will be nights like tonight. No doubt most of us were in similar positions, with some taking the less risky route, some going down fighting. Each to their own, so long as it works.
Nearly all of us are long-term winners, so losing the odd battle matters not. Without t the benefit of hindsight, no real regrets.

James got pummeled in xf, Louis got pummeled in SCD. Things went similarly in favour of Charlotte tonight only difference is the result wasn't what most of us expected.

I suspect your method is more profitable for you in the long run tim.
I prefer to lock in the profit if I feel the prices have hit a certain range. partly because as I said the other night, I know how it feels to bet compulsively and chase losses and I don't want to go back there again.
So if a guaranteed profit is available I am liable to take it unless I am very confident that the prices are way out

How good do you feel when you win a grand...how bad do you feel when you lose one? 5x1 at least for me. Not that I have ever lost anywhere near that.........

You feel worse when you loose because you know greed got the better of you GB.

Though tbh not as much as it did when I was younger, as I knew I would get it back

Definitely true, GB2, but opting for the two or three point all green, then seeing what would have been a  40 point winner romp it, hurts too. In fact, they`re the ones, the ones that got away, that I remember more than the Charlottes.

I've lost a grand in one hand of poker a number of times. That hurts too

Greed is totally the wrong expression. You lay at the right price and back at the right price. Runners win that were never the right price. At least in principle.

Betting success is judged in the long term, not a single event.

That 1-7 was probably value Fig. The only question is if you are comfortable with potentially losing for such a small gain.

Took a £1K hit tonight, but don't see it as a loss but more as a dip as I know in the long term as long as I use discipline & look for value the profits should take care of themselves.

I was TBF cider, which is why it didn't hurt too much. Chasing on a couple of other events hurt more.

It wasn't greed. My heart couldn't bear the thought of her winning so I only ever flirted with the idea rather than backing it

Jai was one of my most painful losses, because unlike many on here I thought it was a winning performance.
I was ready to increase my green until Cowell deramped him. Then I stupidly bottled it

This has been discussed before, but there is no doubt that those of us who are indies are mentally well accustomed to losing cash. No doubt makes it easier for me to swallow tonight because, as with the bookmaking I will, hopefully, win long term.
My losses on here are miniscule compared to some of my bookmaking  liabilities, whereas most of you with `proper`jobs won`t be at all familiar with losing
