So where do we think the value lies? I can't see a way back for Carol. She will probably do better than her polling because she's a LW, but she's lost too much ground now. Vicky is just too abrasive a character too. So we are left with 3. We know Lauren has topped one vote. Possibly 2. Given how well she's doing on 2nd prefs she could pick up votes from Louie. Must be the value given her price against the other 2 |

I think she appeals almost solely to the older fans. Those who watched her on Wogan all those years ago. Clearly the crowd is full of GS clones who take her word as gospel. Therefore Lauren is now hated by them as GS doesn't like her |

Lauren isn't the sort you cheer for though. She's someone you keep quiet about liking until everyone else seems to have given it the okay (no one has really argued for her on BOTS). But it's an anonymous vote. I agree with FLL about older women who remember him/her on Wogan. You could see some kind of Barrymore vote for her that polls just don't pick up on, though nothing quite like his.

The only problem with Lauren is that despite all the kind edits and the constant ramping on BOTS she has failed to make any real gain on TV Polls 1st preferences. She just doesn't seem to be very likeable to the viewers.

fll, I freely admit I really haven`t a clue who wins. Normally I have pretty strong ideas, sometimes right, sometimes wrong. If I can`t find the winner, I try to find some losers. Can`t even do that with any confidence here. Vicky, maybe, but there`s no value in laying Mario or Carol at these prices. So, I feel you might be better off asking someone, ANYONE else! |
