A very strange way of looking at things Tim.

I can't disagree with you.

Betting and principles should be strangers to each other tim.....

Can't disagree with you, either.

In fact, his momentum seems such that I have already written off the money. As fll says, it's perhaps strange that I can cope with losing far better than I could deal with the feelings I would have if he loses, after I had backed him. Hey, we're all a bit strange in our own ways! I've done well following my instincts over the years, and, if I am right on this I will enjoy an inner glow for months. If I am wrong, so be it.

I'm not disagreeing, and Leona was pretty much always top tbf.  Alex wasn't and I take the point.  It still doesn't change my opinion that James cannot win.  There'll be time to bail (and eat humble pie) yet, but right now, I am firmly in the "cannot and will not win" camp.

the main worry for the front two is surely the duet

isn't it inevitable that there will be the usual paranoid nonsense everywhere

that nicole sung better/tried harder/ramped one or the other?

Fair enough Tim.
Good luck for tonight.
I was the same with Joe. I never saw him as value so was happy to have him red in the final. The same with that guy who won AI last year.

I don't have votes for that series, but I have vague memories from Xtra Factor or some other show that said she topped the vote 8 weeks out of 10.

reckon that people should take the evens on offer on Maloney to come 3rd.

safest bet of the finals imo. safer than backing jahmene or james outright

That little fecker!!! Responsible for TWO out of my top 4 biggest ever losers!!!

And good luck to you all as well. As ever, it's been fun. And what does it really matter? It's only the difference of a few pixels in our 'total available' figure.

Yes, always when I have gone for all or nothing, and this series is begunning to feel as ominous as those. The 'all or nothing' approach has paid off sometimes though.

What did you do with Ashley in the end Tim?  I stuck it out, and obviously it reaped rewards, but I cannot believe there was only 1% in it.

I got lucky, as I always sit at my computer while watching these shows, so was quicker than most to respond to the 'change of leadership' comment ftom Ant. Or Dec?

A bit of advice tim...BF is different to the HS bookies in that you can trade to cover positions and guarantee a win..hth WinkLaugh

It was a bit mental yes. I brought Charlie out of the red. In retrospect I suppose it was clear who had just taken the lead

Some of us had the opposite decision to make, whether the now changed prices made it worth covering on Ashley.  Thankfully I didn't. :)  I do think Ashley backers were very unlucky though, especially when you look at the votes up to the semi.

I have heard that Chris has had the most amount of votes since the voting part of the show began. I questioned the person and asked how could they possibly know as I was skeptical. Apparently it is their job to know as a trader for a bookie. The people that are going to vote will be mainly women with some money to waste on the phone call cost to vote. If that is true then a lot of them will be very familiar with 80's music and Chris' songs would appeal to them. That is the logic apparently offered behind this. Of course I am an anonymous guy on a forum so make of that what you will. Good luck all.

Yes, very funny. I normally trade my way to regular, if undramatic, wins. Maybe 10 times over the years I've left myself fully exposed.

Did they ever release the voting figures for Leona's series?
By:

When: 08 Dec 12 17:53
George you are almost certainly right. I have had a cheeky 20 quid bet on Chris at 8's so it is fine. The other two are too short for me to back with any confidence.
By:

Chris having most votes this series could well be true. Irrelevant to tonight OC though

By:

Is it down to the judges and not the public George? If it is true that every week running Chris has come top then I stand a chance if it is a public vote but that's a big if!
