That's a big shout jack. Why do you think they save UJ over Ella?

No reason other than a personal belief that Ella is the least commercial act left in the competition. Don't get who would buy her records, and with the success of 1 Direction the boyband market is quite clearly a massive one. More potential in UJ than Ella

I'm not sure...too many boybands around at the moment. Cowell doesn't want anything taking away from 1D, but see where you're coming from. Would be a shock, and we've not really had one yet this series!

I'm amazed how many people put James in B2.  That was the performance of the series for me... He's safe as houses.

Still happy to be on at 6/4 but think he is an Even money shot now after last night where as without the extra trimmings I thought he was a 1.5 shot!

what complicates it is chris goes if he is b2, rylan goes if he is b2 against anyone other than chris. ella and james would be saved against anyone - unless they are both b2. and hard to read how much union J will bounce. jahmene simply wont be b2. think i might just leave it alone. it's making my head hurt

the stats have never nailed it but never far away either, only a indicator

THose stats are horrific for UJ.

Every act has bounced this year so far, and I think too much of that is built into their price to go.

when they ask whos personality they like best i guess they are attracting a lot of kiddy voters

but not the ones that have been playing havoc with their polls

I agree with jack, Ella won't be commercial at all. That's why she's on the xf. Th voice is only a small % of the package, she has nothing else unfortunately. Adele has a personality and 'great' songs.

hi cider, hope all's good mate. strongly disagree. she's 16 - how can you say she doesnt have a personality. or songs - didnt she sing her own at audition and it was really good? may be wrong. she is 16 ffs and she sings like a goddess. and hey you may be right about her not being commercial, but i just cant see how you can say it. adele is and she is like a clone.

what DOES worry me is dizzy's point about there already being an ella, in adele, but there is no james. but i am consoled by the fact i think james might struggle to get votes...

The way I see it Adele sings from the heart, her songs have come through experience. Ella just sings. She's just a kid, I've nothing against her but she has put herself in the public domain to be judged to the nth degree. She may do well, but I can't see it for now.

not sure how ella is supposed to sing from experience. she's 16. she could write a song about getting f*ngered behind the bike sheds but it probably wouldnt fly. my point, crassly put, is that all ella has at this point is that utterly amazing natural talent. voice of an angel etc etc. i just cant see how you can not think she can be commercial.

on another note, how utterly out of place does jahmene look in the group songs. he looks like me or you thrown onto the pitch in a world cup final by mistake

Therefore Ella is to young for people who'd buy her music to relate to. She isn't sprinkled with charisma for me, something that Adele has in abundance.
