5 million watched Beijing, to put it in perspective. Clearly there will be more interest in the home Olympics. I believe it could be a reasonably long programme.

If it is weekday and after work should do ok.  I will be on a cruise...no not that kind.

Beijing was aired in uk between 12.45pm and 5.15pm.

Next Friday night, 9pm kick off officially.

Just on Beeb? I see they have set up 22 BBC HD channels...don't remember reading that just seen them on the channel list...will they have odds on numbers watching the fencing on HD Channel 19 a week on Tuesday...can we have a market BF?

I did misjudge it, there seemed to be a fair amount of indifference to the olympics in the lead up, with the timings I thought it would be lucky to achieve 18 million average.

14M got off their arses to see the torch. Including me. So was always going to be a decent audience, but clearly the PP odds were way out.

Huge gamble on GB golds less than 10. 80-1 into 4-1 in 3 days.

Although I was bearish on GB golds seems an over reaction.
