I love the Swedsih song and it's a great CD track but the presentation is ill conceived and will not attract voters who hear it for the first time. Can't possibly win.

Do not under estimate the jury vote. It's crucial. You need a well crafted song and a great performance. It's Italy that should be 7/4 favourites and Iceland is a major player Win and Place although the 25/1 may have gone.

Iceland have one of the most tuned in delegations. They have a wow factor key change in their presentation and this clip will be used for the short reminder section
when giving the voting details. Again...another important factor.

Good Luck

My thinking is the polar opposite.
I wouldn't listen to it on cd, but as a live performance it's incredibly impressive.

I must be totally out of sync with reality then as Iceland is an over-produced, indulgent, worthy dirge with no strong hooks in my opinion.  I very much doubt many televoters will remember it well enough to vote for it, and even with a top 10 jury vote in the bag (not a certainty either for me) it will not get anywhere near winning.

As for Italy, I would not be surprised to see it nearer the bottom of the table than the top.

I'll be laying both for top 10 I reckon. (Already laying 1)

If thats Sweden, Russia Italy Serbia and UK no wonder Cool

I hope you are looking outside of those at least for some consideration - I think the potential winners are mostly in the 20's - 40's price on Betfair (or were until Romania went sub 20 today)

No i meant you have my sympathy for having that ghastly woman wildly shrieking "euphoria" stuck in your head.  I think I'd need to go and hit my head against a wall and hope the hideous cacophany would go away.

Srichaphan or Ancic?
When: 22 May 12 01:44
Oh, it could win, Sweden are usually near the top anyway, so it would need just some more votes and theyre in with a shout. I'm not sure the judges will consider it a winner though, and that is what could affect its chances. I am confident that the winner will be from outside the expected countries though. Mischief
