on tighter bags you need a way better cue ball than he has

Not sure if you mean all pockets Wonders but the commentators I have heard seem to think these are tight pockets.

watch murphys red to the middle in his century to go 17-16

when they re-cloth them every few days these bags play 1/2 a ball wider on each jaw
...that's why a 9 ball potter is champ

wu on the other hand without question has bottle. that first red he played must be up there with the best shots of all time given the circumstances

A new first time world champion now, for 4 years in a row - also amazingly 4 different runners up each year too.

Commentators have to talk up the game to get bums on seats and keep the gravy train flowing Wink

You cannot beat the stats. Best player in tournament won. When he held Selby in the 2nd round it was clear he would be very tough to beat. Well done Wu.

Well that’s the snooker over for another season!

I thought it was a good final – either player would have deserved to win.

It was also good to see the liquidity pick up in the second week – unfortunately it will probably be back to normal come the new season!Plain

Still no sign of Latalomne? – If you read this Lats, let us know you are okay.

Have a good summer all.Cool

I 2nd that gin
a good final because it went to the final frame but other than that nothing to rave about

scoring was unders on all metrics 50 ups, ton ups etc...incredible tbh considering it went the distance
not much safety play & what was played was generally a poor standard Sad

You have high standards Wonders. After 16 days play can you expect top standard ? Last thing I want to see is a lot of one visit frames, thought this was a cracking final. The frame to go 15-15 when Wu kicked off with a 70 break and lost and how he got on with frame 33 as though nothing had happened ,amazing character.

Being a terrible loser myself I can only have admiration the way Shaun took defeat in the interview straight after." I said he would be world champion one day, what a shame it was today ",brilliant line.Well done both players.
