Is it just me or has Stan Moody grown a foot and a half since the last time we saw him?

By:
2-1 Jiang over Stan, 2-1 Marco over Ding, 1-0 Baz over Duane, 2-1 JAck over Gong (must have been a Gong steal deep into the colours).

3-1 Marco, 2-0 Baz

By:
3-1 Jack, 2-2 Stan.
Duane v unlucky to not get on VFB when playing into a cluster of reds and black. Black moved into a posi where the next red just wouldn't quite pass. |

Duane misses FB

By:
We don't get replays here but that red looked like it came well away from the cush and still dropped without thinking about it. Should be a steal for Baz. They're all there.

Baz misses the yellow!
By:
Couldn't hear what was going on there in the first part of the conversation, but think we had a unicorn moment. Baz, having missed the yellow twice, whilst able to hit it, needed a snooker, but because the three-miss rule was in action, the balls were still able to be replaced! (as opposed to no miss being called beyond snookers required) Neither of the players seemed to know that was a thing.
2-1 Baz. |

By:
4-1 Marco, 3-2 Stan

By:
Baz doubles the final red when in with a chance to steal, misses it.
By:
Gong steals late on again, 3-2 Jack
By:
Great chance for Baz to steal, but he plays a horrible shot on the black off the last red (I thought pink was the shot), rattles the cueball in the jaws and leaves himself at the wrong end of the table.
By:
Duane has a mare. Sticks the yellow in playing safe. Brown not a gimme but should be gettable given how the pockets are playing. Gets in. Misses the blue.
By:
Desmond Duane. Baz well off his usual level ATM.
4-2 Jack barring snookers |
By:
Jack seems angry. Absolutely lashes at the ball that puts the frame to bed, gets it, and then does the same to the next (which he misses). Not sure if something happened?
By:
Marco gets one of the snooker he needs to prevent Ding pegging him back to 4-2.
By:
3-3 Jiang

By:
4-2 Marco, 5-2 Jack barring snookers

5-2 Marco

Matters not, 3-3 Baz.

By:
Superb counter up to the green from Stan, but he misses and rattles it with the rest, sticks it.

By:
Jiang misses MB
By:
Stanley almost goes in-off in playing safe, but pretty much sticks the pink anyway. Not an absolute cert.

Jiang gets it, but goes in-off to right middle

Stan misses MB

Jiang craps himself on the yellow. Gets up and down off it multiple times. Gets the pot but overscrews. Green on but all bets off.
By:
Gets it. Loses the cueball to the side cush
By:
Gets it. Leaves a long straight blue
By:
5-3 Baz. Jiang uses the opportunity to dry his hands.
By:
Gets the blue. Loses the cueball to the top cush.
By:
Gets the pink to left middle. Leaves cueball in baulk.
Black ball match. |
By:
Tries to double the black the length of the table at pace! Almost gets it!
By:
Leaves a long straight one from the side cushion for Stan, which he gets. Cueball stops inches short of following it in. 5-4 Stanley.
1.01 Jiang (at 4-3) BEATEN. 1.05 Stanley NOT beaten. |

Hangman misses FB a week, Si steals on the black, leads 1-0.
1-0 Slessor over Bai, Selby over Pinhey, Wu over Pullen |
