taxi for tubbs. wheels well and truly falling off here

game over. tubbs isnt blowing a decent lead, unlike some of the mugs hes played this week
this aged well
Like a buttered dolphin, never in yet never threatened to not drop.
about to go level and tubbs the fav. madness from what we have seen this evening
allen looks mentally gone. doesnt look capable of winning this now
slow play, too many misses and too many poor shots. all signs of fatigue
The break in the previous frame was particularly good. Half a dozen pressure shots.
He has every right to be mentally done in. You can't keep having that adrenaline crash without it taking its toll.
other thing is he looks out of shape again. that takes its toll in the endurance stakes
I acutally thought he looked more streamlined this week
even if thats true that doesnt say a lot for what he looked like before
Granted, his belly was everywhere in the top of that frame
Let's be honest, he was known as Tubbs for a reason.
if you look big in black thats never a good sign. only mentioning any of this from a performance perspective not to shame
Thought it was beacause he was a big fan of Ricardo Tubbs from Miami Vice
might have been better to knock this frame on the head as soon as a snooker was needed
what was the point of going for that. surely thats another mistake

another snooker attempt miles off the intended target
Zhou shows him how its done and that could be the frame finally
7-7
Will Zhou want to take the lead? - Is he doomed if he does? - Might Tubbs need to be in a fightback situation? - this next frame could last a VERY long time

Zhou needs to take the lead when it's impossible to comeback - winning the final frame
That he's never won anything before is a massive question mark.
cannot understand how tubbs is still fav. he looks dead out ther
Zhou looks like he could play another session or two. tubbs looks like hes about to fall asleep
ATM, I agree. Doesn't mean he won't capitulate if the winning line approaches.
calling it now. allen is gone. thats another tired shot and Zhou could be in again
allen needs this frame a lot more than Zhou does thats for certain
his head has turned to mush. looks like he desperately needs sleep
also looks to me like allen has given up. like he knows he just doesnt have anything in the tank for a fightback
I've seen Allen look all lost at sea, as shattered as a fisherman at the end of their shift, and then turn it on at the big moments ! Very interesting bo3 that's for sure !
right. chance to score some points. this could tell us how hes feeling
personally ill be surprised if he gets a decent break here
playing safe. that works if your opponent is missing which Zhou isnt really
allen got what he deserved though after a poor snooker attempt

im going with ricardo now instead of tubbs. sounds better
ricardo seems to have got some of his mojo back. snookering at least
if he cant put a score up from here then he might as well shake Zhou's hand
hopeless. difficult pot but Zhou would have made it
Wouldn't have fancied that, even with a fresh head.
great pot. another shot that ricardo wouldnt be making in his sleepy state
Class from Zhou. Market keeping pretty strong faith with Allen.
how many shots has ricardo underhit this evening. theres another one
theres going to be a mistake. hes playing sooooo slowly
if allen somehow doesnt win this frame itll be a fitting way to finish the match. ridiculous that he could lose it the position he was in before knocking the cue ball in
Cueball wasn't particularly close to where it should have been
I advised Zhou NOT to take the lead until winning the final frame - by going 7-8 ahead - he has awoken the fisherman doomed
8-8
doomed 8-8
no it wasnt lats. strange. ref saw the same pics we did surely, but still said the white was 'perfect' and you could see it wasnt. that might have been what allowed allen to make a shot he'd got nowhere near the two previous times
it is toad. he really should get enough for the win now
cant say thats a surprise after the evening tubbs has had
never in doubt was it. i had complete faith from the start...
Amazing - the comeback King does it again - If Tubbs had lost to a comeback defeat WST had Ding, Slessor and Jones ready to come in to the arena doing the conga

Poor old Zhou. Frame #16 was the chance. Bit unlucky there.
Great tournament. Final nearly a very nice result but went badly ultimately ! Pleased for Tubbs though as a rotund individual myself it's nice to see him flying the flag ! Hope you all faired well
My best tournament (by a country mile) since April, helped no doubt by the way lots of the matches played out, but crucially, there was a bit of money sloshing around, certainly from Friday onwards - AND there was no-one moving the market before the pics. Be interesting to see if that continues moving forward.
saw it all from 7-3 tubbs no big breaks old school snooker v enjoyable final
