John Higgins and Robertson are nowhere near the standard they have been when they played with brass ferrules They are using the tit no throw ferrule to play less badly, imo How many players have changed to titanium if its such a wonder idea? Of all the pros on tour? |

Quite a lot have switched, I think. You don't hear about it from too many further down the rankings, because they don't generally make the headlines, but Joe O'Connor is one who certainly has.

Not allowing for throw is massive. If only it had been around 40 years ago I might have made a 147 practicing with them  All the gadgets and extensions, its a piece of cake, lol |

As ever with Ronnie, you don't know what's reality. When you think about it, the things he was saying pre-tournament (about what the cueball was doing and how it was defying everything he knows), suggests he has at least been 'having a go' with titanium in practice.

I've picked up a brand new cue at a club and cleared the table thinking this is it.
