1st class opponent who turns up will beat him aint any element of surprise in this

JB = John Boy = Higgins. Both he and Robbo have won tournaments since switching.

You can win tournaments purely by playing players who play terrible. I've seen terrible players win tournaments
John Higgins and Robertson are nowhere near the standard they have been when they played with brass ferrules They are using the tit no throw ferrule to play less badly, imo How many players have changed to titanium if its such a wonder idea? Of all the pros on tour? |

Fair to say swapping and changing has done ROS no good. He's royally effed up his muscle memory

Quite a lot have switched, I think. You don't hear about it from too many further down the rankings, because they don't generally make the headlines, but Joe O'Connor is one who certainly has.

any change mid-event cant be good

Dont get me wrong its a brilliant innovation is the titanium and the new chalk
Not allowing for throw is massive. If only it had been around 40 years ago I might have made a 147 practicing with them ![]() All the gadgets and extensions, its a piece of cake, lol |
By:
As ever with Ronnie, you don't know what's reality. When you think about it, the things he was saying pre-tournament (about what the cueball was doing and how it was defying everything he knows), suggests he has at least been 'having a go' with titanium in practice.

Yesterday Dennis said he could play with a broom handle - give that a go after the MSI

This lad has the silkiest cue action on tour
By:
I've picked up a brand new cue at a club and cleared the table thinking this is it.
I've improved 3 blacks Then a week later the cue is in the bin, lol The newness and novelty of a different feel can be inspiring and misleading all at the same time |
By:
Dont mean to bring a downer on the kid but what did he get banned for?
Throwing frames or just hanging around with people who did so minor stuff? |
By:
Don't really see xintong bottling this match to be honest
By:
Betting on and "concerned with fixing of". No suggestion he himself cheated.
By:
major tournament winner certainly aint a bottler
By:
He didn't throw any frames, but he knew what was going on and didn't grass. Unbelievable he got a longer ban than Higgins.
By:
yeah he was lower end offense lats, water under the bridge as far as I'm concerned as long squeaky clean from here on in
By:
Ahh ok. Peer pressure. Poor lad. Fancy him being denied playing, he must have been distraught
