I'm pleased but slightly surprised we get Waco v Miah as a TV table game this afternoon.
On the season numbers as a whole, you would probably think Waco was a no-brainer, but, before Xmas things started to happen. Waco's scoring dried up, and his general form just started to regress back to the mean. Separately, Hammad Miah appeared to (finally) realise that he needed to stop trying to hit the cover off every shot he played. It's still likely to be too little, too late, to save his tour card, but it does at least give him a small amount of hope. He has the better recency numbers, and won their only meeting to date, and I'm happy to take a punt at 4/1. Can certainly give Dotty a squeak on a couple of the metrics, and while I don't expect him to pull it off, if it all clicks for Cheung, he could certainly take a few frames off Kyren. |

* on the LV tables

By:
1-0 JB over Dark, Cheung over Kyren, and a 1-0 Miah over Waco (bit of a scruffy frame for both, TBH)
By:
1-0 Dotty over Zhang
By:
2-0 JB, 1-1 Kyren
By:
2-0 Miah, bit scruffy again, but Waco is not playing well.
By:
3-0 JB, 2-1 Kyren

By:
3-0 Miah

By:
3-1 JB, 1-1 Zhang

By:
2-2 Cheung, 2-1 Zhang
By:
4-0 Miah
By:
Dark misses a REALLY bad frame ball black off the spot, JB can steal.
By:
I missed how, but Dark gets away with it! JB REALLY should have stolen from where the balls were when he came to the table, 3-2 JB.
By:
3-1 Zhang
By:
Obscene Kyren fluke taken full advantage of, 3-2.
By:
Half decent chance for F&M gone for Miah and punished, 4-1.
4-2 JB |

By:
4-3 JB, 3-3 Cheung
And Waco's looking a lot better all of a sudden. |
