And yet here we are again with him as the rag v Tommy Ford.... It is definitely true that Tommy Ford played pretty well last night, but Long was awful - way below what he's shown this season to date. I still feel we're playing a bit of a guessing game about precisely what level Tommy Ford is at. There's no disputing that at his best, his best is better than Lei's best (he's still only a baby in snookering terms, though, TBF). Keeping it simple, the numbers say Lei is a play at odds-against.
Luca might have beaten Ding yesterday, but he still didn't score (and Ding failed to take a relatively simple chance to deliver a knockout blow), while Xiao continued to look rock solid in how he put Mags away. Not a huge amount of juice in it, and, like Tommy Ford, we are still guessing a little bit with Luca's level, but I think it's a fair price for Xiao. Pricing for the other two matches looks bang on. |
