Didn't see the match but wonder did Wells say anything about Ronnie after his win? Must have been good motivation for him anyway. Got his card in the bag now which is a fair achievement off the top up list, like Michael White last season.

Cheers lats, thing is I'd say there's a grain of truth in what Ronnie said, as usual with him, but just has a crass way of putting things and no real need for it.

I like Wells, John. He's done me some big favours this season, and I'm sure he'll only get better with big table experience. His safety today was superb.

Absolutely mate, he's been consistently good all season and I'd have fancied him to come through q tour if he wasn't nailed on through the one season list. I do think it's fair enough to argue it's easier to play as an amateur than when you're on tour defending your card, but ronnie telling him what he should or shouldn't do was just boll0x. Probably his Roy Keane complex, actively wants his fellow players to hate him!
