Ding misses the yellow and Si is an EXTREMELY lucky boy! Leads 3-2.
By:
3-2 Dotty
By:
Two failed attempts to play something akin to the © Mags (surely there was a better option?!) from Si eventually leaves the world on, Ding does enough. 3-3.
By:
Theppy leaves the penultimate red in the jaws of the pocket needing only a further colour after it, I think. Selt steals on the black, 4-1.
By:
3-3 JB
By:
4-3 Si
By:
Croup misses a sitter of a frameball black, runs safe
By:
Certain 4-1 Croup becomes 3-2 Croup.
By:
4-4 Ding
By:
5-1 Selt, H2H becomes 7-0
By:
Very poor, error-strewn frame from Dotty, JB goes 4-3 up - leads for the first time in the match.
By:
5-4 Ding.
Absolute giga-bucket there for JB. |
By:
3-3 Lu
By:
4-3 Croup, 4-4 Dotty barring snookers
By:
Winonaville with Lu, too, 4-4

Afternoon thoughts....
Oli v Big Boy - clear daylight for Big Boy on the numbers, but he does seem to be really struggling with his game ATM. H2H is 1-0 courtesy of a 4-0 humping back in October. Would love to see Oli prevail. Jak J v Shon - not much in the numbers this season (Jak's are better than ever, Shon's are well down on his best and below his average). H2H is 2-0 to Shon, but they've not met other than the Shootout since 2013. Would love to see Jak prevail. Ali v Craigie - Also not too much in the numbers, Ali's slightly the better. They've met 3 times other than CL/WST, and Craigie leads the H2H 2-1. Craigie slightly too big. Zhou v Judd - Very little between them on the numbers this season, Judd's marginally the better. Strip out the CL/WST matches, and Judd leads the H2H 3-0. I do have a theory (though I don't have actual stats to hand), that Zhou usually underperforms against players he doesn't think he can beat. It's certainly open to debate as to whether Judd should be falling into that category right now. If he does believe he can win, he's too big a price. |

By:
Dotty through 5-4, Croup through 5-4 barring snookers
By:
1-0 Ali over Craigie, unforgiveable missed blue to the middle for Zhou.... Oli needs snookers to avoid going 1-0 down to Big Boy
By:
Oli has got the snookers, frame back alive.
By:
Bad safety from Oli, sticks the blue, 1-0 Big Boy
By:
1-0 Zhou
By:
1-0 Shon over Jak J, 1-1 Oli. Zhou misses another unforgiveable sitter.
By:
Doesn't matter, 2-0 Zhou
By:
Zhou misses a straightforward yellow, Judd clears in a oner. Keep missing sitters, you will get punished, 2-1 Zhou.
By:
2-1 Oli
By:
2-0 Ali
By:
2-2 Big Boy
By:
1-1 Jak J
By:
Ali flukes the final red from a snookered position and runs out the frame, 3-0.
By:
What a clusterfack that is, Jak
Runs out of position on frameball, tries to pot a red anyway, white goes in the middle and he leaves the cueball sitting over the lip ![]() |
By:
Shon steals, Jak should be kicking himself. 2-1 Shon.
By:
*red sitting over the lip
By:
3-2 Oli
By:
After a protracted battle on final pink, Judd doubles it the length of the table and wins on the black, 2-2.
By:
Interesting to note how far behind the pics are on that table, BTW. You can hear the claps or otherwise on the Shon table at least a couple of seconds before the action happens on the actual one!
By:
Ali did need snookers, doesn't now....
By:
Shon wins another one that Jak had a 50-odd point start in
, leads 3-1. |
By:
Craigie put bows on that one, 4-0 Ali.
By:
4-2 Oli
By:
3-2 Judd
