- it's scary that it was cutting-edge, not that long ago really. |

Still mad at the big 1.25 layer (pre-match) because for starters 1.18 or 1.20 at a push would have done it - but he's gonna collect some kind of prize anyway.

Reboot complete

Need him to get through - want him on the "tv table" where there might be more than two quid in the frame betting

Lines makes a highest break of 37, but still takes Xintong to 4-4. Anyone half decent in the balls would have knocked him out. Unless he tightens up his game massively then he isn't going to win anything anytime soon.

That's fair comment differentdrum - but even with his one-dimensional 'pot em all" approach, he doesn't usually miss quite as many as he did today. He wasn't good today, so while he's more than capable of beating himself on a poor day, he's also capable of blowing anybody away on a good day imo.
He's probably not yet mature enough to "tighten up" his game and the indications (on the rare occasions) that he has briefly tried it, are that it would involve quite a lot of work for him! One of the (many) "indicators" I sometimes use to assess a player is h2h's versus John Higgins and/or Robbo - ZX measures up well in that despite his very one-dimensional approach to the game. |
