Quite amusing that Robbo plays Alex Borg in the first wave of matches!
Borg has now gone 34 frames this season without recording a 50 break. Who on earth backed him at 27 needs their bumps felt!
I'm out from about 1530 until tomorrow morning, but there's not much in the way of TV matches today that make masses of appeal anyway. The most perplexing of the 4 is John Boy v Peter Lines, which logic tells you should be straightforward for John Boy, till you look at the H2H, where Lines bizarrely leads 6-2!
And on-song Cahill might give Dave a game, but he's not getting much of an opportunity to show his form at the mo, having had a string of tough first round draws.

Ding has been superb this tournament and a very worthy winner if that happens. Would love to see him win the Worlds. Would love this to be the making of him because in this form he looks like he can go toe to toe with them all.
Have there really been 49 9-darters on the PDC tour this year?!? 
yeh the 9 darter is no longer rare anymore lata, they get them for fun during the floor tournaments

yes. and only 1 televised out of those 49 9-darters.
(well 2 if you count the one Gerwyn Price threw in warm up at the Grand Slam)
but that isn't included in the 49 in the first place.
was in the match against Gary Anderson. he was 9-6 up at the time. they went off stage, then came back during the interval to throw the practice darts and he threw a 9 darter
the only official televised 9-darter of 2019 was by MVG against Adrian Lewis at the Players Championship in Minehead.
as Cooper says, it's far easier to nail a 9-darter in the quiet surroundings at the floor tournaments

That was a very very very impressive frame winning 131 century break by Ding there given the circumstances and the way the table was set when he got in.
Yep, best player over the course of the tournament, for sure.
