Quite amusing that Robbo plays Alex Borg in the first wave of matches!
Borg has now gone 34 frames this season without recording a 50 break. Who on earth backed him at 27 needs their bumps felt!
I'm out from about 1530 until tomorrow morning, but there's not much in the way of TV matches today that make masses of appeal anyway. The most perplexing of the 4 is John Boy v Peter Lines, which logic tells you should be straightforward for John Boy, till you look at the H2H, where Lines bizarrely leads 6-2!
And on-song Cahill might give Dave a game, but he's not getting much of an opportunity to show his form at the mo, having had a string of tough first round draws.

One of the worst frames of snooker I've ever seen Robbo play.
Borg doesn't even seem to try to play for position half the time. Just concentrates on the ball he's currently on. It's clearly not helping that his belly means he needs to use the rest for about 40% of shots he leaves himself! |

Ding v Duane Jones first up this morning. As ever, Ding should win, but sub 1.2 is not a price I would be entertaining. Mags v Billy Joe Castle is an interesting rematch. I remember Mags playing horrifically and losing to him in the Scottish Open last (?) year. No statistical evidence to confirm nor deny, but I don't imagine Mags is a massive fan of early starts, either.... Certainly worth watching to see how he starts. |
