He was less than 6 v Ding last night at SP and wasn't much bigger than 6 today (was he?)....  That's only 36.

Ding very beatable these days, kyren has his off days and higgins is a shadow of his former self, but put all those victories together and the manner of them and you have something a bit special. See no reason he can’t take the butcher on that display

Everytime I watch maflin (small sample size admittedly)I find myself wondering how the hell this guy is a pro snooker player. Dunno if he’s playing well or just lucky with draw this week

Fair enough.  Guess I was looking back at it with the benefit of hindsight!

I thought he played alright v Luca, but at the end of the day, he was playing Luca.

That's the only time I've seen him this week.

Robbo has been massively outscoring him, anyway.  11 50+ breaks (I didn't count but a not inconsiderable proportion were 100+) v 8.

Looking at his record i see he beat murphy once to reach a sf but otherwise i can’t see much history beating top players, luca this week notwithstanding. Have a feeling it could be a quick match

Ditto.

Any thoughts on the other one, John?  You seem to have a pretty good handle on Hossein.

Not sure bout that lata, been watching him a few years now and i believe he’s got game but he’s literally lost years because of his visa problems so don’t think his game is developing all that well. That said, he did finish well last night and he’s kind of guy who could be dangerous if his confidence improves. I’d slightly favour him on that basis, have him backed with robbo -2.5 just for interest.

Bingham at 1/5 is too short imo, anywhere round 1.25 on exchange i will be getting stuck into the pink

Thanks, Mate.

Was just looking at Donaldson's results.  Anybody capable of losing 6-2 against Jon Astley raises a massive red flag with me.

I’ve seen donaldson a couple of times and he can be half decent or he can be terrible. Semi finalist here 2 years ago, bits and pieces of form here and there. One of those kind of meh players..you’d never seriously consider backing him.
