Any views on Robbo v Bingham?
I've had a tickle for Robbo, as I think more recent form is a key (and some more recent H2H issues). |
|
By:
is that the TV game?

|
By:
eurosport just said main table robbo game, selby on player
|
|
By:
I tend to agree...I would have had robbo shorter than 8/11 as well
small bet for me |
|
By:
Not looked into it very closely but saw bingman has an overall 10-5 hth v robbo. Might not mean much, not a robbo fan as have probably pointed out loads of times here but not tempted to take on at the odds.
|
|
By:
hth records worth a look but like with all small sample evidence its mostly misleading
|
|
By:
Yep, I have Robbos more current form beating Bingham (was also a 6-0 in their more recent meetings). Though it's right that the overall record favours Bingham from matches further back (most were a lot further back, so I've less applied that).

Yeah it’s rare enough they’d swing me either way but always have a look. Did think robbo would be shorter myself but maybe markets are adjusting to the reality that’s he’s not really among the elite anymore, though the comms still inclined to get giddy when he puts a couple of breaks together.

|
By:
you defo have to weight heavier the more recent matches
binary win/loss counting is pointless imo & frame scores are far more important if you are just looking at hth records if a player wins 10-9 or loses 10-9 this should be viewed almost the same |
|
By:
in my view robbo is the slightly better player & on balance has been playing slightly better
I was expecting more like 8/13-4/7 |

1st chance robbo

Recent form is a fair guide too though far from infallible. Ballrun been atrocious at times this season, including last time when he embarrassed himself (always plays rubbish at masters though so I’d be inclined to overlook that) but when he’s turned up he’s played some good stuff. Bit of a guessing game there really. Robbo a lot more consistent it has to be said.

By:
agree...all players have a distribution of performances & in any match a player's performance is just 1 random outcome from his distribution
distributions are skewed though depending on how players are playing |

Just popping in to say I told you Selby was finished. Don't even mention he is world no. 1, not worth the cyber paper on what it is written.
Also a quick mention for the ballrun bucket pocket champ butcher of Basildon town, unlucky mate. |
