Betfair to blame unfortunately.They censored all the outrage at the time because it was damaging to them. Then when the notw sting was carried out and Higgins was investigated, Betfair mustn't have come forward with evidence that match-f1xing in exactly the same way as envisaged in the notw sting, may have been done in previous matches.
Betfair to blame ?? Give over. The only ones to blame are Barry Hearn and world snooker who should have sent him packing from the game. And what's even worse not one pro or commentator / pundit has the balls to say it how it is
The fact he's looking like beating everyone again is rather ironic too - bet some hoped he turned into a Steven Maguire in results terms, but erm......
No previous matches have ever been investigated and that has to be down to Betfair not providing evidence.

That's not someone who loves snooker that's someone that is not to be trusted thus the other accusations fsr more believable,we all know people like that a world final and your thoughts at the interval to cover yourself in a bet to actually have that mentality to do something like that just find unbelievanble for someone who's a multi millionaire..

Worth watching the Higgins v Davis premier league game where the betting suggested it would be a draw and poor John 3-2 up could hardly pot a ball in the final frame and even fluffed a few safety shots. Must have been embarrassing for him that Steve was such an average player by then it took him about 10 chances before he finally crossed the line. (No suggestion by the way that Davis was anything other than a player miles past his best.)
Oh well, not like any danger he'll be world champ and poster boy again for the sport for a year....
A report today says that Higgins has lost his appetite for the game. He will just have to 'swallow' it I guess!!!
