Carter is going to ruin my book if he makes the final, only player i'm not big green on, don't have a dime on him but would have to cover him in the final so would mean winning peanuts and wasting my time. I know he would get owned in the final by Ronnie (again) or Stevens but i couldn't let it run.
Come on Maguire, pull your finger out. If he finish 9-7 he will easily win the match in my opinion as he will finally get a run at some point, but 10-6 and Carter will probably hang on. |

Carter backers were always looking for some luck, but Maguire backers should have taken heed of his dodgy temperament before this one. All players play an 'unlucky' match, it's how you cope with it that matters. Hendry, Davis etc in their pomp would have just shrugged and reeled off a 5 frame winning streak. Will Maguire manage that, while he's pumping his fists around?

For anyone who like the spread bets: Carter currently only at 12 to buy in this match on the 10-3 bet. That's scored 10 points for winning and 3 per frame won by. i.e. if he wins by just 1 frame you profit, plus there's less possibly downside now he's banked 10 frames already. Top bet IMO.
