Lol what is Ebdon doing in the final of the China Open? I didn't follow much this week but 2.1 for maguire a frame down looks well worth a dab Grin

I look at it on the flip side....more reason for Maguire to lose his head if he doesn't win this frame

Ebdon should have made sure of that black though

Long format favors Ebdon though.

Well that was more complicated than it needed to be.

I might actually round my prediction down.  Maguire might not even get to 5.

you have got to say ebdon was the more attacking player and made the least mistakes in the first 4 games, if ebdon win 1st game after interval then i cant see away back for maguire even though its first to 10

When: 01 Apr 12 09:25
Yeah, I don't think Ebdon's been anywhere near as deliberate between shots as he has been earlier in the tournament either.

A few books going 11/10 Maguire for anybody looking to nick a few quid while they're away from the table.

'highlights' of this final should be sold as cure for insomnia Grin

but seriously though , Macguire should have been prepared for what to expect from Ebdon , his intentionally snail-like pace to every shot has got in the heads of everyone on his path to the final ,,,Stevens , Higgins, Robbo all got out psyched by Ebdon ,(not so much outplayed ) and the same is happening here, have you ever seen Macguire make such poor mistakes to let Ebdon in ?(and thats just the first four frames ) its not great to watch but u somehow gotta admire the old dog , he must be laughing his head off in his dressing room , the amount of time he takes ... Laugh

missed what the commentators said about not having enough time to play all the frames. Do they mean they may finish tomorrow or that they will play a shorter format for the final?

Maybe shortened break and or only play 8 frames in this session rather than the planned 9

When: 01 Apr 12 09:51
ok cheers, so no chance of messing about with any voiding of the match odds market then. For a moment I thought that they were implying that they would make the final a best of 5 frames cos of ebdon slow play!

baldloaf , the evening session starts at 7.30PM local and 9 frames are scheduled to be played this afternoon , if, in the opinion of the tournament director they are likely to go on soo long this afternoon , he may pull them off early before the scheduled 9 frames of this session are played , and the subsequent lost frames will be played tonite /tomorrow early hours (ie. past midnight local time ), either way the match will still be decided over the best of 19 or first to 10 frames

Yes, these odds maybe just about reflect the score, but not when you add Maguire's attitude today Plain

Can you imagine how Maguire would feel if he lost this frame going into the interval knowing he'd got to play AT LEAST 9 more frames of this to win?!?
