Statistically it shouldn't happen. It all started with a phone call. A mate had looked through a tried horse sale, seen a lot that appealed and being 2 minutes away from the saleyards I took a trip to have a look for him. Going through the complex, I bumped into a vet I knew, asked him to come have a look and armed with an opinion and a look at the lot, got on the phone for the sobering truth. There is no defying, the horse was fat, so fat I thought he was pregnant, which is impossible. But there was issues with his legs, not back, but front. He needed to be treated with kid gloves, get the weight off him without putting him under too much stress and I suggested finding out who had him before.
