Personally I think it's a massive mistake putting it on this channel, bit like no cricket or the Derby on BBC.

They turned down a much bigger bid from TNT sports originally...which would have at leasy meant fewer subs required for Rugby coverage..
In today's BBC Rugby Union Weekly, Chris Jones said he was briefed that EPCR turned down a £14m offer from TNT Sports to broadcast the Champions Cup only to then sell the rights for £6m to Premier Sports. At a time when rugby is in desperate need of more funds, surely questions have to be asked about whether Chairman Dominic McKay and CEO Jacques Raynaud are the right men to take the competition forward. |

Thank you Brentford , it's amazing that's what has happened and I wonder what the real reason behind it is. I don't think it's getting the coverage on Premier tv that such a prestigious tournament deserves.

Not got Premier Sports but will probably get it for the next few seasons. Anyone watching? What's the coverage like?

Must admit I don't watch a lot of club Rugby but caught 20 mins of a game the other week...pretty decent coverage including studio presentation for that game - don't think they all get that
..Premier don't have the best rep for their streaming services (some games are stream only) but might be trying a bit harder as these are probably their most valuable rights currently.. |
