How about Wales v England for the Final?
Nah I guess but it is possible. |

England zero chance of winning this.

I had all of the 4 qf line ups right on Oct 8 and I see no reason to change my prediction of the sf and final. My only bet is on Japan again to beat SA.

Will back New Zealand and South Africa. I anticipate either to win their group which will then split them up from a quarter final and if successful from a semi final standpoint. Meet again in the final. That`s the plan. Plan still on target. |

Wales were awful. Can they play that badly two weeks in a row? Well Ireland managed to play badly after beating Scotland so I think yes. I did think it would be an awesome confrontation with the Welsh fronting up. I am sure they have pride but cannot see them getting past South Africa. At some point SA will click and if it against Wales it will be carnage.
It is a semi and these things are usually done with a fine margin so I will not rule Wales out completely. France finally sand the Marseillaise. They were desperately unlucky. It was a forward pass and Ntamack missed 5 points. Can't call NZ v England. NZ are a better side but I don't rule out England under Jedi Master Eddie! England could win if the stars are aligned. They have everything to front NZ but NZ are as tough as teak. Something has to crack. |

Backed s a v n z after first game , no worries

I just don't see Farrell as a great 12. NZ v SA now looking more likely to my eyes.

Delighted to be wrong about the first one in the final. Maro Itoje must now be the best player in the world by some distance.

Well done to Wales. Didn't think they would have enough. SA were very disappointing and negative but I guess that sometimes how finals are won.
Good luck to them kicking back to England in the final. I thought Faf's kicking was excellent. Plenty of height and distance giving the chasers plenty of time to mark their target. Wales high kicks on the other hand were poorly directed lacking distance and the kick chase was even worse. It was a demanding match but SA look like coming through without injury. I just think England have the stars aligned. They have an amazing team and strength off the bench. I don't think the Boks will roll over but still I wouldn't be surprised to see England stretch away from them. Finals are usually tight but England are playing with so much confidence. The Boks 7 Du Toit was like Thrush today. I expect to see a batle royale with him next week |

" SA were very disappointing and negative" but Wales weren't???
The worst game in RWC 19 By FAR! |

Wales are not the Brazil of Rugby. It is a tiny country with limited resources. Those resources were stretched thinly today. You can only play with what you have. SA on the other hand are giants of the game. I take your point. I wouldn't call it the worst game. It was a titanic arm wrestle yes, not good rugby true but was played with incredible intensity and commitment by both sides.

Wales said they would not miss the 2 players out through injury but no one mentioned that you need back-ups on the bench and their third choices were non existent. Wales are a small country but so are New Zealand and Ireland.

Who would have predicted Garces to be the referee?

I really fancy England -4.5. Am hoping this game might pay for my holiday!

So predictable from England. Can only play one way. Got away with it in 2003 but well and truly battered today. They kick it more than the footy team.
