They have to win.

thanks

You're welcome.

I think a draw would keep their hopes alive.

Will be loading up on Japan to turn over Samoa first, then Scotland to cover the handicap against the Boks. Aussies haven't been tested yet. They got thumped recently by NZ after having the temerity of beating them the week before. Very hard match to call this one.

By:
BF offering 1.91 on hcap scotland plus 15.5 pts!
By:
They can still qualify via a draw but of course won't go for that if given the chance

The referee will be under orders from World Rugby to get England through.
expect a shocking refereeing performance from Roman Poite.. a la Craig Joubert in the 2011 final.. V France England will be allowed to get away with murder.. the Aussies will be pinged at every opportunity This will be skullduggery at its finest...money talks.....wait and see |
By:
Poite is always shocking. May be difficult to tell where incompetency ends and skulduggery begins!!!
By:
What happened to all the skulduggery last week? Surely if money talks Eng have to avoid NZ's half of the draw at all costs and that would have meant a win last week?
By:
They did their best!!
By:
they just cant have the hosts going out at this stage.
far too much money is at stake...sponsors and the like last week england never looked like losing until the last 10 minutes. the baying twickenham crowd will make the referees mind up on the 50/50 calls.. expect the aussies to be fuming at the end and fighting to break out in the stands !! ![]() |

Let me know if you want to sell your tin foil hat Bardo.

I don't think for a second there would be any deliberate bias. Money is all spent now whatever happens.
Aussies I'm sure will get the rough end of the pineapple with the ref. That's a given. That's just the way it is. |
By:
That's what away teams have been facing since the history of organised sport began.
By:
This RWC is already a huge success in every sense, on and off the field. I really don't see it as that massive a calamity if the Hosts exit at this stage...its not the equivalent of, say, Brazil, exiting at the group stage of their Football World Cup.
Better with England still in, but not to the extent that skullduggery would be brought to bear to avoid an exit in my opinion. Still, everyone always loves a good conspiracy theory. |

As a Kiwi I despise Aussie sports teams but I will be cheering the Aussies tomorrow. Looking at the game impartially England have little chance. Wales came back into the game last week as soon as they started to run it, and then England were like possums in the headlights. The Aussies will do that for the entire 80 mins. England won't win the breakdown battle with that carthorse at 7. The ONLY chance England have is Australia getting penalised off the park and England kicking all their goals. Sadly this is possible with the inept refereeing this World Cup and the orders the ref will be under, but hopefully Australia can cover this through tries. I really hope Australia wins so this arrogant England side can continue being an overrated laughing stock. The English media are a joke and deserved to have it given to them. Now I am ranting, so I will wrap it up. GO AUSSIES. (p.s whatever teams make it out of this group will be beaten up and spent, so no worries for us in playoff stage
) |

"orders the ref will be under" LOL

By:
I may be drunk but I wouldn't be surprised!! ![]() |
By:
We will know at scrum time whether England get pinged for boring in at the scrum every time

I'd guess Knutter has to be any other nationality than Kiwi or Saffer or his comments about English arrogance would be too much.
By:
I guess people are still blind to it

England will win

HYGB soon

People are entitled to their view about the English and it may be with merit Knutter but my point is that people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. If you aren't a Saffer or Kiwi then I'll hold my hands up but I'm guessing one of those because when it comes to rugby the people of those countries are the biggest boasters when they win and whiners when they lose around.

I bumped into Michael Lynagh earlier on my morning run in Richmond. Only managed a quick friendly reciprocal hello. Couldn't find a betting angle on the strength of that, so though I'd just mention it

By:
I just had to laugh at knutter impartially ranting
fwiw think the Aussies will win hopefully I will be wrong but very worried about the influence one of Mr ledesma on their scrum could be the difference |
By:
knutter clearly states his nationality in the first three words of his post.
By:
Knutter - I think whoever comes out of this pool will be battle hardened with the winner getting a relatively straightforward quarter final, the runner up might find it a bit tougher,Wales do look a little spent although if England and Australia both qualify I can see both teams making the semis at least...
By:
England will be having their ar3e wiped by the ref tonight, So expect plenty of penalties going Englands way tonight. The papers are holding their front page headlines plus the next 8 pages ready to print how England won a great match without even scoring a try

Why has Farrell been picked ? For the same tactics that saw them get beat by Wales ?
Teams need to play to their strengths, with Farell they aren't. I like Lancaster(and no he has been hit by injuries, but he seems like a tinker man to me,unsure of his best 15) I really hope they get stuffed royally to shut up the Swing Low Chariot Brigade up. |
By:
I think Cheika in his own mind is convinced who his best players are. Rightly or wrongly. Lancaster even after all this time still seems undecided.
By:
I know you were unhappy with the Wallabies squad, but to me I think it looks great with options in every positions.I would like to think you win tonight, but bit of a coin toss.
But worse ways Wallabies still go through 2nd place. To win the RWC you have to beat the best.To me that's another coin toss against NZ on neautral ground,so Taken my chances. Someone will beat the AB's I'm convinced ![]() |
By:
kAMIKAZEE,Just seen you posts on the Wallabies.
I'll take Evens if your willing to offer about them getting out of the group ?Be it English,Welsh or Wallabies. You should all be confident, anything can happen. |
By:
I can't recall saying I was unhappy with the Wallabies squad. Did I?
By:
I'm hoping someone else beats the All Blacks for us!!
By:
Wales V Fiji thread I'm afraid you are quoted as Saying you are unsure the Wallabies get out of the group
![]() They defiantly do(although nothing is set in stone with sport) So I'll take any evens you wanna offer though ![]() |

By:
You want me to give you evens? I thought I was the one drinking too much!!
