Yes I am hundreds of miles away but can tell you this is a dry one all match.

Bad news for Ireland then. O'Connell is one of those players who is more than the sum of his parts. Spends most of his time taking 2 steps and hitting the deck, but few players in the world can be more influential on those around him.

I think Tuohy is a great bit of stuff and love the way he hits rucks. Hope he goes well

He's certainly physical, that's for sure.

Why the **** is this in-play already betfair?? It's on national TV, how difficult a job is it to get this right?

Absolutely criminal.

strange indeed - it's not like it is even official KO time.

Ire to bounce for me after NZ.  Scotland to tease me for 40 mins.

If it had gone off exactly on 3pm I wouldn't have been so bothered, but before kick-off time on a live match is just rubbish by betfair. Yet again.

Worked the overlap very well there, but didn't make enough of it. Bright start but no points.

I swear Scot start every match this way.  Lots of ball, lots of 2m gains and not a lot of points.

This time they should get 3 though

Not a good idea to try to run through Duncan Taylor, much easier to go round him. Hell of a lump in midfield.

ffs that is shocking at this level

lost forward or held up - that was going Scot's way regardless

Same old, same old. Scotland make a really bright start, don't score, make errors and nearly go behind.

How the fook can that be Scotlands ball?  Collaspe maul mmy ass
By:
RugbyMan
When: 02 Feb 14 15:12
Well it was a maul and it collapsed. Heaslip seemed happy that it was the right call.

Dear God Scotland, if you win a turnover at a line-out do not pass it back 20 yards and kick it aimlessly back to Ireland. Get it wide, give it a go. If you have to kick do so when it gets to the winger and he decides there's nothing on. Basic ffs.

No high tackle?

Good decision, no effort made to roll, don't let them slow it down.

3-3 a fair scoreline at this stage.

Why is the South African reffing this game?
By:
RugbyMan
When: 02 Feb 14 15:23
Because he's on the IRB list of referees and they need one for this game?

We were spoilt in Paris yesterday.  This is all a bit dour so far.

A lot better surface as well

Some of the body angles are ridiculously low going into rucks. Ireland fire in 3 inches off the ground, Scotland do the same to counter it, so Ireland try to go lower. SH refs never seem to mind.

whistled there a bit early didn't he?  Scot may have just had a squeak on the left

Hard to see where the pizazz is going to come from from that Irish backline...lot of trundlers out there.  Marshall perhaps but then he is in such a busy channel.

How important is Hogg to Scotland? Looks dangerous every time he gets it. We're not used to that from Scottish backs.

Scottish backs have improved since Johnson
